My environment affects me so much.
I can’t think in a messy room.
I can’t work at a cluttered desk.
And flowers on the table make me weirdly happy every single time I walk by them.

Please tell me I’m not the only one like this. 🙃

I’ve been trying to record a video of myself talking, for weeks.
Camera on. Camera off. Camera on. “Tomorrow.”

Then last night I caught myself and went — Ruh-roh.

I teach people how to write words that make strangers feel seen. Homepages that make your visitor feel like they’ve found what they’re looking for. Sales pages that read like you’ve been inside their head.

But here I am on my soapbox preaching “write in a way that makes people feel seen” — while refusing to be seen myself.

The reason your homepage sounds like everyone else’s? The reason your sales page isn’t converting? Same reason I keep not hitting record. Same wall. Different shade.
We’re just hiding.

And hiding has a flavour, doesn’t it? It tastes like almost. Almost launching. Almost posting. Almost the income, almost the life, almost the version of yourself you keep promising you’ll become once you feel ready.
Ps. You will not feel ready.

You can bet your bottom dollar that I’m not going to feel ready when I hit record this week either. I’m pretty confident I’m going to feel like an idiot. My voice is going to sound weird to me. I’m going to re-watch it and want to crawl under my desk.
I’m doing it anyway.

Because the animals I want to help don’t care if I’m cringe.
The life I’m building doesn’t care if I’m cringe. And the entrepreneur on the other end of my sales page — the one who needs the thing I made — they don’t need me polished. They need me honest.
