The next player in our Meet the Player/Coach series for the Swift Current 57's , is number 11 Adam Rowland!

What position do you play? 'm an outfielder.

Do you have a walk-up song? Yeah, it's Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo.

Where's your hometown? I'm from Okotoks, Alberta.

What college or university do you attend? Currently I'm at Montana State, University of Billings.(0:21)

And have you played on the WCBL before? I haven't before, this is my first kick at the can.

What made you want to play in Swift Current this summer? I have some friends that play on the team.They've been on the team for a while, so they were a major part in bringing me over here. But I've always wanted to play for Swift Current. Ever since I've kind of started playing college baseball, I thought it was a good landing spot for me.

What do you know, if anything, about Swift Current? Honestly, not a whole lot. I know they have a pretty good hockey team, but that's about it.

Any personal or team goals for the summer? Personal goal, just leave a lasting impact on the program and the community. And for the team as well, just really build up, be a part of the community, build on that. And there was some talk in the locker room, and I think we could be a 20-win team this year.

What are your future ambitions in the sport? Just keep playing for as long as possible, and leave a lasting impact in Montana, and anywhere I play baseball from now on. Just be a good guy, be a good teammate, and show what I can do with my play.

At what age did you start playing baseball? I think I started playing around three years old.

Best memory from playing ball? Best memory is definitely walking off my JUCO Conference Championship. I didn't personally, but I was a part of it. I hit a double to kind of start the rally, and we scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to win it. And that was awesome.

Favorite baseball player and team? I'm a Yankees fan. I know that's not going to be popular with all the Blue Jays fans around, but I think my favorite all-time player is Mariano Rivera.

Favorite baseball or sports movie? Major League. I love that one.

Favorite pregame meal or ritual? Don't really have a ritual, but I always eat pasta before the game. That gets me going.
