If you are looking for a nice place to either beat the heat or hide from the rain (or both, considering how the weather has been it would not surprise us!), come check out your local library!

TD Summer Reading Club signups also open today! June 8th! If you have an interested young reader, want a fun way to keep your kid engaged and learning over the summer, or just want to take a peak at what we have prepared, swing on by the library and get ready to dive in to this summer with us!

Come along to the library for an enjoyable afternoon with our annual Senoir's Tea, on Monday, June 22, 2026. With delicious tea, snacks, and lively company, it will be a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

Our children's area shelves are getting a nice dusting as we shuffle our books around to accommodate some Spring painting, but our hands are busy with more than dusters as we still have plenty of fun programming and useful services ongoing throughout the month!

We have had a blast at Teen Makerspace recently, especially so tinkering with marble runs!

However, the Teen Makerspace program on this upcoming Saturday, May 30th, 2026 is cancelled. Teen Makerspace will start up again Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at 1:30 pm with some Sphero Robot race and maze challenges!

Kindergarten School Readiness Kits are now available at the Swift Current Branch Library. Pick one up today!

Note: These are the same kits that were handed out at the Kindergarten Orientations.

A quick reminder that our STEAM CLUB and Storytime Adventures Programs are done for the season. We still have our LEGO Club on Wednesdays at 4PM and new Teen Makerspace program going on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 4PM.

That is not all, as registration for the TD Summer Reading program starts June 8th! Swing by the library June 8th or later to get registered, grab a bag of goodies, and read to get prizes over the Summer!
Over the Summer we will also have 3 new programs: Library Ahoy, Little Sea Explorers, and STEAM's UP!

Mark your calendars! Starting May 15, Saskatchewan residents can borrow a park pass with their library card and explore everything our beautiful province has to offer this summer!

Huge shoutout to the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association and the Saskatchewan Library Association for making this program available again this year!

This week is also the last week for the library's STEAM Club and Storytime Adventures. We will be closing the programs temporarily so we can get everything together and polished for our Summer Reading Club, where we will have Library Ahoy, STEAM's UP. and Little Sea Explorers!
