In our Be Like Jesus series, we’ll discover how God invites us to look more like Jesus each month, year, and decade of our lives. Yet, all our determination and best effort will not get us there. It is only with the help of God’s Spirit that we become like Jesus.

“But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control of oneself” (Galatians 5:22–23a). So if we want the fruit to be cultivated within us, what should we do? Read Philippians 2:1–11. The Holy Spirit helps us become more like Jesus. It is our reliance on the Holy Spirit, remembering Christ and what it means to belong to Christ, that will help us continually become more like Him. How are you more like Jesus today than yesterday?
