The Cedar Makeover!
This customer wanted a totally new look. This cedar home hadn’t been treated in over 20 years and was suffering. I used a solid stain from Benjamin Moore and really worked it in to the thirsty wood. Two coats were applied and now the house pops when you drive by.
Hope you like it!

Better than New!
This deck was ready for maintenance. Outdoor products take a pounding from the winter but the sun does even more damage. I sanded the deck to an 80 grit finish and the handrails to 150 and stained with the original color and product and the results hopefully speak for themselves! Only a couple weeks left for any outdoor jobs.

Takin’ care of Business!
This beautiful home was in good shape but needed a few repairs and small upgrades. I changed out a bedroom door and upgraded the door trim and baseboards in the upper hall and painted the hall, staircase and main entry into the kitchen.
Most importantly I relieved the bedroom of the Black Hawk colors. The stripes all need sanding and mud over top followed with a high hide primer. Looks great now and ready for some Leafs paraphernalia!

Total transformation! I took this tired looking puke green home and revitalized it! After washing every inch by hand including eve’s and changing the color to Chantilly Lace with Kensington Blue accents I sanded the 30 year old deck to raw and refinished with oil stain. I removed an old butterfly off the garage wall and my girlfriend Debra did her magic to it. Also reclaimed and repaired the shed that was taken over by squirrels!
They’ve been evicted and banned for life. I hope you like the new look!

This old deck was not safe anymore!
We cut out and replaced all the rotted deck boards then sanded the entire surface starting with a 20 grit sand paper with an orbital sander to remove all debris, old stain. I sand several times moving up in grit and finishing with a 60 for a smooth fresh surface. All edges, benches and stairs require smaller detail sanders and grinders. This finished with Beauty Tone oil stain. I prefer that it contains no varathane type products and is strictly oil. Varathane tends to peel and flake in as little as one year from sun and severe weather. This deck will host BBQ’s and get togethers for many years to come!

This church is nearly a century old and the windows were too expensive to replace. Go get Joe removed the old paint, filled all the holes and cracks and sanded the wood frame and casing to smooth. An oil based primer was applied before two coats of Beauty Tone paint.
Needles to say these windows were very delicate and special attention was required. The finish is almost like new! These old windows have come back to life.

This beautiful home only needed a few finishing touches! The island was finely sanded and repainted. The other rooms were surface repairs and select walls and ceilings were refinished followed by repainting baseboards and trim to give it a like new appearance!

I love a challenge!
Here is the basement from my last post.
I repaired all the drywall and added some special touches to stairwell. Again an oil based high hide primer was used under high grade paint. The color is natural cream. To finish the project I replaced all baseboards and stair trim. Once again the prep determines the finish!

Some houses need a little extra attention!
As I’ve mentioned before preparation is the key to a finished product! The entire house was painted with a high hiding primer to cover up many years of smoking.
The new finish is incredible! No sign or smell of smoke and the walls are smooth as silk. Mission accomplished! Next step is the basement.
