ABOUT LAST WEEKEND ✒️📖

Saturday was a busy one!

At Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, we welcomed BC Bob for a signing of his new book, The BC Almanac. This brought old friends, familiar faces and a combined love for all things BC.

At the same time, Heather Fawcett was at Central City signing copies of her newest book, Agnes Aubrey’s Cat Shelter, and chatting with fans of the beloved Emily Wilde series.

These events are such a great reminder of how much community support means to authors, bookstores, and readers alike. We loved seeing so many people come out to support two fantastic Canadian authors.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by. We’ll see you at the next one! 📚❤️🍁

“Can I have a moment to take this in?”

That’s what Jackson Ford / SFF Writer said while standing in front of the Black Bond truck featuring Sisters of the Lizard, and that sentences really stuck with us.

It was such a small, real moment. Just taking a second to appreciate something you’d worked hard for before moving on to whatever came next.

We move through life so fast. There’s always another deadline, another event, another thing pulling at our attention. We don’t always give ourselves permission to stop and actually feel proud of what we’ve done.

I think a lot of us need that reminder.
So here’s yours: pause for a second. Take it in.

Thanks for sharing that moment with us, Jackson.

Sisters of the Lizard is available now online and on shelves at Black Bond Books and Book Warehouse and by request Hager Books Ltd.

The party was ON last week.

In Ladner, we hosted a conversation with and yes, that is who joined in on the fun.

Thank you to Susin for sharing some behind-the-scenes stories from Snap, answering our questions, and signing extra copies for readers.

Then, we headed over to to spend the day with (aka Nishant Jain), who wowed us with his talent and had a wonderful time connecting with shoppers…. And made us some pretty awesome sneaky art!

What a privilege it is to welcome such incredible people into our stores.

THANK YOU ❤️

Still thinking about last night.

A room full of Doug and the Slugs fans, stories from Aaron Chapman and Simon Kendall, a Doug and the Slugs performance, and of course... BOOKS.

Honestly, no better way to spend a Wednesday night in the city.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and celebrated the launch of Real Enough with us.

Too Bad it’s already over. 🎶

NEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW truck. 🚚📚

Well… technically not new.
But the books are, so a glow up felt appropriate.

Keep an eye out for us on the road. 👀
