This Sunday is extremely meaningful to me. Village Church] we are hosting for Freedom Sunday. does the amazing justice work to end slavey across the world. And we are partnering with them for the fight to end slavery in our lifetime! Today more than 40 million people@live in slavery and it happens in Canada.

We can lie to ourselves but we cannot lie to Jesus. What are you hiding?

This is one of the first verses that I ever memorized. As I reread it, it reminded me of two things: 1) memorizing scripture is so helpful. It can be a constant reminder that God can use in any situation as a reminder of his truth. 2) God is over all situations. There is no situation he doesn't have complete control over and will always be with you to draw you closer to HIM!

What is Advent?
As we enter this season, it is important to reflect. I was reading this great article from Desiring God which served as a reminder for what this season is about.
The long anticipated arrival of Jesus!

John has been absolutely amazing to study! This verse shows us that Jesus was present at the creation of the world as God. The then became a human and walked the earth. For me, this truth brings so much comfort that the Jesus that has offered a new life in him has power over all things. This IS comforting!

Envy is often a topic that doesn’t get discussed much. It is something that we all deal with. Check out a service this Sunday to hear about envy and how Jesus is better!
