Belonging matters. So does creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to show up as themselves. This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity, resilience, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities at KPU and beyond. Our campuses are stronger because of the diverse perspectives and experiences that make up our community.
Happy Pride Month 🏳️🌈
KPU had an exciting May! We witnessed design students lead through innovation at the KPU Melville School of Business Student Pitch Competition, barriers removed through a new partnership with Adler University, and updates to the Human Resources Post Baccalaureate that make the program more accessible than ever.

Bees build the ecosystems our food systems depend on.
At KPU, researchers in the Applied Genomics Centre (AGC), supported by Genome BC, are working to stop a highly infectious disease that can destroy entire honeybee colonies. Using advanced DNA testing, the team is helping beekeepers detect and track American foulbrood disease, giving them the tools to protect their hives and livelihoods. “This study is the first of its kind in B.C., focusing on bacterial brood disease that ultimately destroys hives,” says Dr. Fahim Raza.
Helping protect the builders behind Canada’s food supply. Made possible by Canadian universities.
