Adaptable Spaces - Indoor/Outdoor Living Solutions
Dynamic systems which excel in protecting, conne
We know our glass is strong, but watching it handle this was something else. 😳
Winds reached 120 km/h, trees were bending, and huge branches were breaking off and coming down around the property. Some of them even slammed directly into the glass.
No loud rattling. No panels shaking back and forth. It stayed solid while the other side was chaotic 💨
While everything outside was being thrown around by the wind, the enclosed deck remained calm and protected.
This is the side of outdoor comfort that people don’t always think about.
It isn’t only about keeping a patio warmer or extending the season. 💭
Sometimes, it’s about having a space that feels protected when the weather becomes completely unpredictable.
We couldn’t have planned a stronger example of what it means to create an outdoor space designed to perform. 🧡
ANY SEASON. ANY DAY. ANY HOUR.
ALL SEASON OUTDOOR COMFORT
Outdoor spaces should do more than look good. They should perform. 🎙️
In this podcast conversation, Roy shares why the best outdoor environments are designed around usability, comfort and changing conditions.
For homeowners, hospitality spaces and dealers, the goal is the same: create outdoor areas that remain comfortable, functional and valuable throughout the seasons. ☀️
That means looking beyond individual products and designing a complete outdoor environment that delivers greater flexibility, predictability and year-round use.
ALL SEASON OUTDOOR COMFORT.
Any Season. Any Day. Any Hour. ✨

When planning an outdoor space, most people focus on how it will look.
The better question is:
How often will you actually use it?
A truly successful outdoor space isn't limited to perfect weather. It's designed to remain comfortable through changing conditions—so whether you're enjoying a quiet morning coffee, hosting friends, or welcoming guests, the space continues to work for you.
Because the value of an outdoor space isn't measured by its appearance.
It's measured by how often it becomes part of your everyday life. ☀️🌧️✨
The best outdoor spaces don’t happen by accident. 👀
They’re created by bringing the right features together to make the space more comfortable, flexible and usable throughout the year.
Our President, Roy Kortenbach, recently joined a podcast conversation to share his perspective on creating complete outdoor environments that perform in every season, without sacrificing the view. 🎙️
Because outdoor comfort should work around your life, not the weather.
Any Season. Any Day. Any Hour. ☀️

Ask Better Questions. Build Better Projects.
The right solution becomes clearer when the conversation begins with the customer’s vision.
How do they want to use the space? What would make it more comfortable, reliable and valuable throughout the year? 🔍
For dealers, understanding those priorities creates a stronger path forward. It shifts the focus beyond product features and toward an outdoor space designed to perform for the people using it. 🏡

A beautiful outdoor space isn't defined by how it looks on the perfect day. ☀️
It's defined by how often you can actually enjoy it.
Too often, patios, pergolas, and outdoor living spaces sit empty because of rain, wind, cold evenings, or intense sun. The investment is there—but the usability isn't.
That's where thoughtful design makes all the difference.
Operable glass enclosures transform outdoor spaces into environments that adapt to changing conditions, allowing you to stay c***ected to the outdoors while enjoying comfort throughout the seasons. 🌧️
Because the best outdoor spaces aren't built for perfect weather.
They're built to be enjoyed every day. ✨

The challenge isn't that people ask the wrong questions.
It's that they stop asking questions too soon.
Many outdoor enclosure decisions are made once weather protection has been addressed.
But that's often when the more important considerations begin.
A system can protect a space from the elements and still create compromises elsewhere.
Visibility.
Comfort.
Day-to-day operation.
The overall guest experience.
The strongest outdoor environments aren't the result of a single feature.
They're the result of evaluating how the space will function as part of the property for years to come. 🔍
Because the goal isn't simply to enclose a space.
It's to create an environment people actually want to use.
Most outdoor enclosure conversations begin with weather protection.
But the longer a space is used, the more important other questions become.
🏛️ How naturally does the environment integrate into the architecture?
🌿 How comfortable does the space feel during changing conditions?
⚙️ How much operational attention does it require over time?
✨ How does it influence the guest experience?
Because outdoor spaces are rarely judged by weather protection alone.
They're judged by how they perform month after month, year after year.
The most successful outdoor environments are designed to support long-term usability, guest comfort, operational confidence, and a better overall experience.
That's where long-term value is created.

It's easy to think about a hospitality property as a collection of separate spaces.
→ Dining room
→ Patio
→ Bar
→ Lounge
→ Terrace
Guests don't experience it that way.
They experience one visit.
Which means every environment contributes to how that visit is remembered.
A beautiful dining room can't completely compensate for an outdoor space that feels disc***ected, uncomfortable, or like an afterthought.
Because guests rarely remember individual spaces.
They remember how the experience made them feel.
And increasingly, outdoor environments play a much bigger role in shaping that perception than they once did. 🌿🍽️
