As many of you know, we have decided to take a break for the summer. When we reopen in the fall we will be relocated to a new location. We are beyond excited!!!! to welcome Kiana - our new Independent Laser Technologist 😍❤️. Kiana has been contracted through The LAB for her excellence in service, laser knowledge, and technique 🤩. Kiana has 8 years experience using essential oils combined with relaxing massage techniques and strives to provide her clients with a rejuvenating and soothing experience. Through The LAB Kiana will be providing laser hair removal, laser skin treatments, teeth whitening, and in the near future, micro-needling and microdermabrasion. Today’s discussion is on: 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹.

Our IPL (𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓) machine is 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍-𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄, Health-Canada-approved, and provides 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 hair removal with 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓.

IPL works by a process called 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐒
(big words seem to be the theme around here lately!).

This means:

𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (lysis) of hair follicle by:

𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 (photo) & 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐓 (thermo).

𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 are necessary (typically there is a 20% hair reduction with each treatment).

𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 are the best times to start the process (in order to get the correct number of sessions you require before the summer months are upon us)!

𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒 are benign (not harmful) skin growths.

𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒 are often found on the neck, underarms, groin, and anywhere else the skin rubs together.

At the LAB we use cryotherapy (freezing) for 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐆 removal. 🥶

Our cryotherapy (𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐝𝐞) is delivered through a pen-like device (see photo) which 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 to the surrounding, healthy skin. 😇

N𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐝𝐞 cryotherapy is also known to be 𝙎𝙄𝙂𝙉𝙄𝙁𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙇𝙔 𝙇𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙋𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙁𝙐𝙇 than typical cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen). 👍

We have treated hundreds (maybe thousands!) of skin imperfections with our cryotherapy - all ages (youngest 6, oldest over 90) and genders - and…..

A 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚-𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 teeth whitening system that minimizes sensitivity while providing great results 🤩.

This is done 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐀𝐁, 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐀𝐁 staff! No take-home or messy trays - and takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.
