Sunday, August 24 is a free day at the Bedeque Area Museum with the normal $10 entry fee being waived, though donations will be appreciated. Come along between 1-5PM to see all the exhibits including the new ones that have just opened this summer.

On August 10 in the Loyalist Monument Park of Central Bedeque, we will be hosting our annual Ice Cream and Blueberry Social with wild PEI blueberries picked by our members. Musical entertainment will be provided by the musical duo Luci Blu. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth 12 and under. Tickets include admissions to the Bedeque Museum and the Lower Bedeque Schoolhouse. We hope to see you there!

The Callbeck history circle was a great success, and we are pleased to announce next week's talk by historical climatologist Don Jardine who has studied the past climate and weather of Prince Edward Island for many years. We hope you'll be able to attend!

With 77 people turning up, our talk with Kate McQuarrie was a huge success! On July 28 we will be hosting our next talk, a history circle dedicated to the Callbecks of Bedeque with managers, employees, and others reminiscing over the business that lasted for the better part of a century. This seminar coincides with with the major revamp and updating of the Callbeck's Store exhibit.

Come in on July 21st at 7pm for our next history talk led by biologist Kate MacQuarrie., where she will give her presentation on the natural history of Prince Edward Island spanning from the formation of sandstone millions of years ago to the Island's landscape and wildlife we see around us today.
