I am so behind on posting this and the grandma guilt is real 😭

Big day for these boys!
First, we hung out at the mall as the human kids wanted to go to London - and they were a HIT at the mall - especially with our friends at Hot Topic ☺️
Next, they went for their vet checkup! Clean bill of health and Riddle (soon to be Sonic) will be heading to his forever home this weekend!
Then, we of course had to make a quick stop at PetSmart - where the boys again were a huge hit with staff and customers - and we got some more indestructible toys for the pups 💕

Couldn’t be prouder of these two today!!! Multiple people got to hold them - many who have never even seen a hedgehog in real life, let alone hold one - and they were rockstars 🥰🥰

Randy is still looking for his forever home, read more about him in the post below 🥰💓

I’d like to introduce you to Randy.

He is a 9 1/2 weeks old little hedgie who is looking for his forever home (no fault of his own).

He had a home lined up, but unfortunately circumstances changed and they could no longer take him.

Randy is part of a small litter of 2, his brother Riddle leaves for his forever home on Friday.

While we are not in any rush to find Randy a home, it would be great to find him a home where he can settle in while he is still young.

All our babies are very well socialized. They are vet checked and dewormed with Revolution before they go home.
They also go with a small little starter pack - some food, litter, litter pan, food dish, small toys.

You must provide proof of proper enclosure and equipment (heat source, wheel, etc) also.

All our hedgehogs are litter trained before they go home, and we also trim their nails.

We offer lifetime breeder support, as well as complimentary nail trims if you are in our area. 🙂
We are located just outside of Strathroy, Ontario.

Baby Riddle met his new tiny humans yesterday 💓💓 his new name will be Sonic and he will be a very spoiled little hedgie ❤️
His brother Randy is still looking for his forever home if anyone would like to add a hedgie to their lives ❤️

These cuties turned 6 weeks old yesterday! They are officially weaned from Mama and doing so well!

Fresh potatoe slices for the superworms before the hedgies have them for snacks 💕

This isn’t a pretty picture of a hedgie, or a funny meme - but it is an important one.

Early this morning our hydro went out. It was out for about 2 hours.
No hydro = no heat lamps.

Hedgehogs will try to hibernate if their body temperatures get too low. In the wild, that is ok, but if pet hedgehogs attempt to hibernate it can be fatal.

I have always kept hand warmers on hand for these “just in case” moments. We have never had to use them until today.

Ideally, wrapping your hedgie in a blanket and cuddling with them so you share your body heat is ideal, but when you have 7 hedgies it’s a little difficult to do so 🤣

I grabbed the hand warmers, activated them, and stuck them in socks. I then placed the socks in each of their snuggle sacs or domes - wherever they were sleeping.
I placed 2-3 in each sock, as I wasn’t sure exactly how long the hydro would be out.

These ones pictured are from Dollarama - and they were still warm 7 1/2 hours after I activated them.

Hand warmers are a very cheap thing to have on hand for these emergencies, and absolutely worth having.

These babies are 4 weeks old! Another 4 weeks and they will be ready to go home to their new families 💓 and I will miss them terribly! 🥺
