Reporting live from a picnic table at Alexandra Park! Here is what you need to know around Strathroy-Caradoc this week:
🍳 This Sunday: Strathroy Pride is hosting an incredible Drag Brunch at Caradoc Sands this Sunday, May 31st. Hosted by Vanity Affair, doors open at 11 AM.
🛋️ Local Shoutout: Big congratulations to Emily Michelle, owner of Blended Living at 68 Front Street West. Not only is her shop packed with gorgeous, curated home goods, but she was also recently featured on HGTV's budget decorating series! Stop by her storefront to say hello and browse the collection.
🏡 Real Estate Pulse & Tip: Strathroy is holding resilient with our average sale price jumping to $656k last month.
💡 Tip of the Week: Don't fear the asking price! Local data shows median bidding is sitting at negative $12,400, meaning homes are regularly selling below ask. Sellers, with average days on market at 32 days, pricing accurately from day one is the secret to a smooth sale.
🚧 Commute & Community: McKellar Street remains closed until Thursday at 5 PM for the Beech Street upgrades. Also, give a warm Strathroy welcome to the Western Schulich medical students in town for Discovery Week starting today!

Hi Neighbours. We’re back.
The committee has been heads-down for a few months — and we owe you some updates. Strathroy-Caradoc Canada Day is on for Tuesday, June 30, behind SDCI at the Gemini Sportsplex fields. Same blanket-on-the-grass evening, bigger drone show, more food trucks, more toilets, free shuttle from downtown.
We’re a little behind on posts, so the next few weeks here will be a sprint — two a day until we’re current. Schedule, lineup, parking, bus route, vendors, volunteer signup, the works. Follow along.
See you on the field.
🍁 Tuesday, June 30 · 6 PM · Gemini Sportsplex (behind SDCI, 667 Adair Blvd)
Free admission · $20 parking · In support of the Ontario Student Nutrition Program (VON)

Feeling incredibly blessed as I look back on REALTOR® QUEST 2026 from last week!
It’s events like this that remind me exactly why I love what I do. Being surrounded by so many driven professionals, soaking in brilliant keynotes, and just experiencing the amazing energy of the real estate community was truly inspiring. I feel so lucky to be able to learn, grow, and bring all this fresh knowledge back home to serve my clients in Middlesex County
Here is a little behind-the-scenes look at some of my favorite moments from the week! 📹
So grateful for this journey and the amazing people I get to meet along the way.
Here’s to growing, learning, and bringing our best to the table every single day.🥂
Strathroy in 60 Seconds: Week of May 18, 2026 📍
📅 What’s Happening This Week:
Wednesday (7:30 PM): The Strathroy Rotary Club is hosting their "International Cafe" presentation to support Ukraine using District Grants.
Friday (7:00 PM): Catch the Scott Woods Band presenting "Fiddle Country" at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges, with proceeds supporting St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
Saturday (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): The Town-Wide Garage Sale is officially on! Hit the local neighborhood sales early, and be sure to stop by St. John's Anglican Church (34 Head St N) to check out their front lawn setup.
🏡 Real Estate Tip of the Week:
We are in a balanced market with listings averaging 32 days on the market. Buyers, take a breath! You finally have the leverage to perform proper due diligence and write standard protective conditions like financing and home inspections back into your offers.
🧵 Local Business Shoutout:
Shoutout to Heather Cousins and the team at The Wobbly Bobbin Sewing Studio at 15 Centre Street West. They’ve officially taken over the former ABQ space, keeping a beloved creative hub and sewing community alive in our downtown.
🚧 Quick Heads-Up:
Beech Street remains closed from Adelaide to McKellar for reconstruction, so detour via Metcalfe West. Also, keep an eye out for the Health Unit’s new community clinics launching at local library hubs.
