Thanks to the crappy weather ive had 2 days to dorf with the volvo

Swapped COP valve covers for some freshly blasted standard ones, added an old school BOB breakout box to the ecm system, then cleaned the thing front to back

This was the most complicated bit of f**kery ive ever had to do

Just to make windows go up and down, seal and look decent

Chopped roofs look cool but they make window fitting an absolute nightmare

Motor is ready to go into the fox, as the turbo LS is going to beva spare for my truck lol
4.6 mark 8 motor, was going in stock but lack of a manifold means custom manifolds and a single turbo
Tried out some wacky paint treatments, liking how it looks

Got the bed floor into the 53 Furd today. Big thanks to pete abel for doing a stellar job on the wood and bjorn smith for getting under it and tightening 1100 nuts

No way in hell am I dropping mad chedda on a fancy eBay intake
Shaved the stock uuuuuugly truck intake with a hammer and an angle grinder. Then sanded, then formed some 21 gauge sheet metal over top and glued it on with some PL adhesive

Tomorrow I'll bondo the edges,sand and paint then it goes on the turbo mustang

Got the mighty 4.8, 2 wheel drive and low low miles, like it's only got 496,800 km on it so it's just broke in

Got a lil t3 in there to make up the hotside today,turned out alright,pretty happy with the flow,like no 90 degree bends lol
44 mm eBay wastegate and it's getting a Wuhan Gt35 sometime this week

And in the no buck LS spirit...that's a Lincoln Mark 8 oil pan on a 4.8
Made 3/16 x1.25" rails, welded them to the pan that's been stretched 36 mm and it sits pretty flat even before I plane it
Factory windage tray and a hybrid LS front/ 4.6 rear pickup tube and we're good Jerry

Cost $9.15 and about 2 hours of my valuable time

Turbo LS in the moostang...so if you use a 4.6 4v power steering pump and thin alternator on a fancy AFC bracket the alternator drops about 6 inches from the factory stuff

The snoot tube goes down to the air to water intercooler,the heat exchanger is a rad from a 99 civic and the ice box is a Heineken mini keg

Gonna slick up the ugly ass intake manifold, drop in some 42 lb injectors and send it

Would you just look at it ...arrived yesterday and it's ready for heads
Thing is sparkling clean inside and now outside.ripped the heads down and they go for a bath at carquest tomorrow,then it can go back together and be ready to install in the 56 International

Apparently sometime after midnight on New year's, hell froze over
Went to the shop today and did some s**t .turns out that you can bolt 4.6 ford motor mounts onto the front two bolt holes on an LS block.then when you drop it into your fox body it sits perfectly
Also weird is that the 4.6 oil pan is exactly the size of the LS pan,just with the holes in the wrong spots
Oh and by redrilling the header flanges 302 fox headers fit the chassis like factory,but more on that tomorrow

Spent about 5000 hours on this thing at bjorns place.mostly on the steering linkage but also built this nifty sloppy 2 cammed 5.3 and did some other stuff
It runs,sounds great and goes into gear but maybe no test drives quite yet
