Hello lovely people! I feel like I have been pulled in too many directions lately. I was struggling to get back into writing some posts, and in reviewing my own words... I found some remarkable wisdom and thought I would reshare. To finding Balance.... or Clarity

We all need to strive for more balance in our lives. Or do we...? There is a lot of buzz about finding the perfect work/life balance. You need to have a balanced approach to your work. You need to make time for yourself; you need to make time for your family. All...

It's almost upon us. The Year of the Firehorse is a special year for me and the Firehorse Herd. To welcome the Year of the Firehorse, the Herd and I are hosting a couple of special wisdom circles. Reflections with the Herd Embracing the in Between



I am sitting outside with my horses, it's a beautiful day on this April 1st.



I am one cranky person today. I don't really know why. Well, that's not entirely true. I do know why. I've had a lot’s going on over the last few weeks and it has taken my focus and my energy away from being present. And what happens when I'm not being present is that I start to feel disconnected from myself and spinning at loose ends. The reason I'm cranky is because I've forgotten to embrace some of those rituals that ground me and bring clarity to what I'm moving forward with. So today I am leaning into my self-leadership practices and getting back to my ritual of being outside with my horses.



Spending time with my horses and allowing their energy and their grounding presence to calm my spirit and bring me back to a sense of self that I haven't felt for several weeks, if not months. So this morning, Dara and Tash have been a constant presence, then Whiskey came to remind me that he is also here. I don't know where my Brandy is, I know she's here, but she's letting the young ones support me this morning.



I brought my card decks and my journal. Pulled a card, and interesting that the card I pulled was the Flamingo spirit - embracing the in between. Really that's where I feel I am. Job searching, building my equine facilitation practice, supporting family, trying to improve my home, so many things and I feel like I'm not quite there in any one of them. Pretty appropriate that I embrace the in between and just try to be present for the opportunities and inspiration that actually arises, instead of stressing out about looking to the past and not quite being in the future, but having a foot in each. There's a lot of wisdom to be had in the moment, and I think being present to it is part of the lesson from the horses this morning. It's OK to be uncomfortable and sometimes you have to experience the discomfort for inspiration and opportunity to shine through.



That's my message from the Firehorse Herd on this April Fools' Day. Not a foolish message at all but one full of wisdom and hope.
