Once our little learners can identify letters and sounds, next come the sight words!
We want to make this process 𝕗𝕦𝕟 & 𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕒𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 for them.

If your child is working on a particular sight word list we can create a ring of personalized cards to use in conjunction with our sand trays.

This activity would be suitable for children in the grade 1-3 range, but is certainly not limited to these grades as each child learns at their own pace.

🌼☀️ Pete the Cat Spring Inspired Sensory Bin 🌼☀️

Our last Pete the Cat bin was a hit so we thought why not create another one! This bin is all things SPRING! 💐

Our sensory bins come with educational learning activities to further develop important language, mathematical & fine motor skills.

First, read your Pete the Cat Five Little Ducks book. You can recreate the story using the concept of subtraction and addition using the loose parts in your bin.

After you are done reading, building, and creating, choose a set of the number cards and & bury them in the rice. Match your number card to the corresponding number on your activity mat. This activity can be scaffolded to meet the needs of your child. If your little one is beginning to work on identifying tally marks, simply use this activity until they’re ready to move on to the next skill.

Our next learning activity focuses on counting and fine motor. Cards can be separated off the ring to make for easier use. Count the spring items and use the corresponding links to show your answer.

This Pete the Cat story pairs perfectly with our newest sensory bin. Read the story with your little one and then create a leprechaun trap using your loose parts!

As always, our sensory bins come with educational learning activities to further develop important language & mathematical skills. After you are done building and creating, choose either the alphabet cards or ten frame cards & bury them in the rice. Lay out your corresponding cards and have you little one match upper case + lower case letters, or dots on a ten frame.
