A Memorable Evening with Waubgeshig Rice ππ
Tonight, our community gathered for an engaging and thought-provoking conversation with acclaimed Anishinaabe author and journalist Waubgeshig Rice.
As part of National Indigenous History Month, Waubgeshig shared insights into his bestselling novel Moon of the Turning Leaves, the power of Indigenous storytelling, and the importance of community, connection, and resilience in both literature and everyday life.
From the live Q&A to the book signing that followed, the evening sparked meaningful conversations and offered an opportunity to reflect on the stories that shape our understanding of one another and the world around us.
π Thank you to Blue Heron Books for providing copies of Waubgeshig's books and to our partners at the Stouffville Museum for helping bring this special event to our community.
Thank you as well to everyone who joined us. Events like these remind us of the importance of listening, learning, and sharing stories that inspire connection and understanding.
