Neruda Arts is a not-for-profit dedicated to building bridges in our community through diverse arts.

Neruda Arts’ philosophy includes striving to present culturally diverse performances that would otherwise be under-represented in Canada. We are also focused on collaborating with our volunteers, who are mainly students from the region of Waterloo, especially those students benefiting from English as a Second Language classes, to produce quality programming. We would love to welcome Hendry Massamba! 🇨🇩🇨🇦

Originally from Congo, Hendry Massamba is a committed musician and percussionist, active on the professional scene since 2020.

His artistic approach is part of a quest to transmit and promote ancient African languages, while denouncing traditional cultural practices that negatively affect populations. Through dynamic, festive and rhythmic music, he seeks to raise awareness and build bridges between African heritage and contemporary issues.

We would love to welcome XOCÔ!

Also known as Mestre Sérgio Xocolate, XOCÔ has dedicated more than forty years to the practice and teaching of traditional Capoeira.

Beyond music, he is recognized as a respected cultural educator and guardian of Afro Indigenous Brazilian traditions.
XOCÔ also carries the spiritual responsibility of the Caboclo de Lança — the warrior-protector figure of traditional Maracatu Rural.

Through performances, workshops, festivals, and educational programming, XOCÔ shares the living traditions of Northeast Brazil with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, creating spaces of celebration, learning, and intercultural exchange.

XOCÔ will be presenting his amazing set on July 11, 8pm , Main stage

Have you ever heard the thunder of drums? ⚡️

We are honoured to welcome Chinchineros del Centro from Santiago, Chile!🇨🇱

From the heart of Chile's capital, the Chinchineros del Centro performing the unique Chilean moving drum will surprise and dazzle with the power of a frenetic dance that transports the audience to the most primal aspects of being human: the body and the drum.
Chinchineros del Centro are Olga Carrasco, a visual artist, percussionist and Chinchinera artist whose work stands out for its movement from tradition to experimental projects. The versatility of her instrument has enabled her to explore and contribute to diverse, complex musical genres, including folk, jazz, and classical music.
And Carlos Aravena Huenchullán, Chilean Heritage Champion, Chinese Street Vendor and 4th generation Organ Grinder. He is a prominent exponent of traditional Chilean art, with 25 years of uninterrupted professional experience.

🇰🇷DOSI is a six-member band formed in 2018 by a group of friends united by their shared passion for diverse musical styles.

At the core of their music is a bold fusion of rock with traditional Korean instruments, delivering performances that are fresh, immersive, and emotionally powerful.

DOSI represents a new wave of Korean rock, experimental, and deeply rooted in tradition.

In 2022, they made a strong impression on one of Korea’s major music programs, and in 2023, they were selected for major showcase opportunities, marking the beginning of their international journey. Wild success in Korea marked the beginning of their international journey, connecting with audiences across various countries, expanding their global reach.
