Okay, be honest… most people would probably pick one of these. 😂

But none of them should be your actual next step.

A mouse sighting is something your facility should report and document, not ignore, chase around, or try to handle yourself.

Note where and when you saw it, let the right person know, and let your pest control team investigate from there.

One mouse doesn’t tell you how big the problem is, but it does give you a reason to look closer.

If you smelled something burning, would you really wait for smoke before checking? Same goes for pests. 👀

A little behind the scenes at Gilles Lambert Pest Control

Today’s mission: one wasp nest down and a mosquito treatment to help keep outdoor spaces more enjoyable 🐝🦟

The places you don’t think to check are usually the places worth checking first.

In commercial buildings, we’d pay extra attention to loading docks, gaps around utility lines and pipes, HVAC areas, suspended ceilings, wall voids, and storage areas that don’t get much traffic.

Look for the small stuff: droppings, gnaw marks, nesting material, grease marks along walls, unusual smells, or damage around wiring and insulation.

You don’t need to wait until you see a mouse running across the floor to know something’s going on.

If you’re seeing any of these signs around your facility, it’s worth getting them checked out.

Here’s what most people don’t realize: Carpenter ant colonies have multiple satellite nests scattered throughout your yard. They’re all connected and working together, so spraying one area won’t solve the problem because the others keep operating. That’s why professional treatment has to address the whole system.

The roach thought he found paradise. We had other plans. 😎

When did the problem become part of your routine?

Maybe you’ve gotten used to checking the corners of your kitchen. Maybe you’re avoiding one area of your basement. Maybe you’re telling yourself that the occasional noise isn’t a big deal.

But you shouldn’t have to change how you live in your own home because of pests.

The longer pests have access to food, water, and hiding places, the more opportunities they have to stay and multiply.

And if you’ve been waiting because you weren’t sure who to call, if it was worth reaching out, or you’ve simply felt a little embarrassed about the situation, we completely understand.

We just want you to know that we’re here to help, answer your questions, and make the process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Here’s exactly why we stand by calling as soon as you see something. We don’t push this to make money. We push it because we’ve seen what happens when people wait. And it’s always more expensive. Always more stressful. Always more damage.

A spider in the corner? Not a pest if it doesn’t bother you.
A cockroach in your kitchen? That’s a pest because now you can’t relax in your own space.
Wasps in your backyard? That’s a pest because your kids won’t play outside.
Rodents you don’t even see? That’s a pest because they’re destroying your home while you sleep.

The thing is, pests affect everyone differently. What doesn’t bother your neighbour might be driving you crazy. What you can ignore, someone else can’t.

We don’t treat based on what we think matters. We treat based on what’s actually bothering YOU. Because at the end of the day, your quality of life is what counts.

You react or you prevent — both happen. We’re here for whatever stage you’re at.
