B**R SPOTLIGHT: RAIL ALE NUT BROWN 🚂

Some b**rs come and go. Others become part of the story. Rail Ale Nut Brown is one of those b**rs. An original Howe Sound recipe from 1996, Rail Ale has worn a few different looks over the past 30 years, from 1L swing-top bottles, to our first 355ml cans, to today’s 473ml tall cans. The packaging may have changed, but the b**r has stayed true to the original: smooth, flavourful and packed with notes of biscuit, caramel and cocoa.

Named in recognition of Squamish’s rich railway history, Rail Ale pays tribute to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park and the important role the railway has played in shaping our community.

Rail Ale is featured in both our 30 Years of B**r Flight and Core B**r Flight, available for just $12 during our 30th Anniversary celebrations, September 19–October 4.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: FRANCO 🍻

For 30 years, Howe Sound has been built by the people behind the b**r—and Franco has been part of that story since April 7, 2001.

From head brewer to order desk legend, Franco has helped shape Howe Sound in more ways than we can count. He created many of the original recipes we still brew today, keeps our keg orders moving, knows our regulars by name, and somehow always has time to say hello.

In 2025, we brewed Franco Italian Pilsner as an ode to the heart and wisdom he’s brought to our team for more than two decades.

30 years of b**r. Countless stories. And people like Franco who make it all possible ❤️
