A quick drive to Squamish over the long weekend to take our friend visiting from LA to grab some dim sum. Lunch with a view! Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the drive, but we made up for it with coffee and donuts from Fox & Oak (not pictured).

Phuket, Day 3 [[ Feb 23 2025 ]]

Our last day in Thailand.. we walked around Kata beach and explored our neighborhood briefly before heading back to enjoy our resort. We finished the trip off with one more dinner at a night market, this time the Kata night market, and a one last Thai massage.

Bonus, peep the Thai tea from Dean & Deluca at the airport!

Phuket, Day 2 [[ Feb 22 2025 ]]

We spent the day exploring Old Town before the rain came. Following recommendations by Mark Wiens, we started with Hokkien noodles from Ko Yoon, then walked over to Mee Ko Lan for some handmade egg noodles. This restaurant is over 100 years old and serves very smoky noodles.. it was super fun to watch the uncle toss each order in the wok – lunch and a show! We needed to sit down and relax for a bit, so we headed over to .teabar for some iced matcha. After walking around and doing some light shopping, we headed to Limelight to check out their food court, which had some Michelin recommended eats.

Phuket, Day 1 [[ Feb 21 2025 ]]

Arrived in the late afternoon, and traffic was no joke. It took almost two hours to get to our resort, and by dinnertime, we were starving! We decided to take the local bus up to the Patong night market and ate to our hearts content.

Bangkok, Day 5 [[ Feb 21 2025 ]]

Travel day - off to Phuket! Airport eats: grabbed a corn pie from McDonald's, and we were finally able to get a big bowl of Tom Yum. I just couldn't have it in the heat (@;)

Bangkok, Day 4 [[ Feb 20 2025 ]]

Temple day! We visited the iconic Wat Arun and Wat Pho and even managed to get a Thai tea from a Café Amazon inside the temple grounds! We were starving after a photo session and were so lucky to stumble upon an outdoor food market that served super cheap Pad Thai, papaya salad, and various barbequed meats. Before leaving the area, we got our hands on *the* mango sticky rice from Kor Panich - absolutely amazing and worth the trip. After a much needed massage, we had dinner at another Hereduan location. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as the first place.

Bangkok, Day 3 [[ Feb 19 2025 ]]
After walking around Benchakitti Park, we worked up quite an appetite. We ate two lunches - ate some Pad Thai at a little family run restaurant before feasting at .streetfood . The food here was definitely the best thing we ate at in Bangkok! Of course, we had to have something sweet.. so we visited a dessert shop that is known to serve one of Lisa's (Blackpink) favorites: grass jelly in fresh milk with milo powder. The food coma was starting to set in, so we grabbed a coffee and chilled for a bit before heading off to Iconsiam for some window shopping, dinner, and air conditioning. Their food court is insane, with food organized into different regions within Thailand.

The food from deserves its own post. We stumbled upon this small eatery on our way to get coffee and decided it was a good time to try boat noodles, especially considering there was a line to get in - so it must be good, right? 100% correct! The menu was quite comprehensive, given the fact they specialize in boat noodles, they offered so many different variations. Portions are small, but that's the point.. you can order multiple bowls and try so many kinds!

Bangkok, Day 2 [[ Feb 18 2025 ]]

It was a super hot day, so we decided to seek shelter in the many malls and hydrate with lots of different drinks. We also ate dinner in one of the massive food courts before heading off to see the sights in Chinatown and ending the night with pudding!

Bangkok Day 1 [[ Feb 17 2025 ]]

We landed in hot and humid Bangkok after a delayed red eye flight but that didn't stop us from hitting the ground running. We visited a local café to eat a smoothie bowl before a 90 massage, got our caffeine fix at .th and picked up some pods for home, went to Mark Weins' restaurant for Pad Kaprao, had our first official Thai milk tea, and ended the night at Jodd Fairs for some dinner (and our first experience with fresh durian).
