Our sister company seeking a skilled On-Road Heavy Duty Mechanic to work on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. This role requires travel, with flights provided, accommodations supplied, and a daily meal per diem covered.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with fuel truck, trailer, and heavy-duty on-road equipment maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to respond to road service calls. Safety, reliability, and efficiency are critical in this remote rotational position.

Is willing to work away from home, staying in hotels or camps for up to 21 days at a time,
Must work well under pressure and a is great team player.
We provide the following:
Day rate pay of $350
On-Site training
Coveralls and all required PPE
Paid accommodations and fuel
Vehicle for the team to use for travelling to and from site.
And a unique once in a life time experience assisting aviation water bomber wildfire efforts!

Avg. 2-3 nights out of town per week.
Must be able to operate a manual 18 speed transmission.
Must have minimum 3 years experience driving as a class 1.
Must have experience hauling fluids.
Must be comfortable with off-road driving, Mountain roads, using chains, and have knowledge of western Canadian roads.
Required to work with Electronic Daily Logs (iPad provided)
Must have excellent proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communications in English
Hourly wage + overtime
Paid hotels when working out of town.
Fuel discount.
