Wasn't a huge fan of the parts that came with the vise for fastening it to the table, so I made my own.
Theirs on top of the picture, mine the closer one.

It was a really busy week in the little factory. Machined alot of plastic, assembled 2 - 3D printers, used the plasma cutter and welder to make a deep deep socket, was asked to design something from a picture and 3D print one, deign something else hopefully a future project. A little bit of a roller coaster of feelings bid a job and thought i was going to lose because I am to busy to get on it right away but got it anyways.

If you have ever worked with before you know I am always trying to find an easier and more productive way of getting things done. When I was hired to make 600 bushings I needed to find a way to make them fast and accurately. The manual lathe works but is slow and there as alot of measurements needed to be taken while they are being made. Since I dont have cnc lathe I needed to find a better option. Today I made a fixture plate and put some internal diameter expanding clamps on them for the cnc mill. Now I can use the manual lathe to machine the internal diameter and then put them on this plate and hit go and 8 minutes later I have two completed. I am now making them four times quicker then the manual lathe. Now that I have a system that works I can get more clamps and make a larger plate. This afternoon I made 50 bushings 550 more to go.

The last 40 blocks are completed for this order, now to clean the machine out and start the next parts for the order.

And when the machines finish their run this is what we have.

The entrepreneur life. Short video of whats going on in the shop today. Some of the raw materials cut and ready for machining then off to the plasma cutter making some 4" washers, the larger cnc is cutting 2 parts at a time the smaller cnc is doing the finishing holes and the manual lathe is ready to go to make some more bushings. Its a good start on the project. Nice to be able to have a bunch of machines running at the same time so I can still run the manual machine, multi tasking at its best and they say men can't multitask. Its a good feeling having work still rolling in during a recession and a health pandemic.
