There are moments when you can look back and suddenly see that God was connecting dots you didn’t even know were there.
Almost two years ago, something appeared on my phone that I wasn’t searching for.
A book.
Exposing the Spiritual Roots of Disease by Dr. Henry W. Wright.
I had never heard of him. I had never heard of Be in Health. I had no idea that clicking on that title would open a door that would become such a significant part of my own learning, my faith, and ultimately the work God was preparing me to do.
Since that day, I have immersed myself in Dr. Wright’s teachings and his decades of work exploring the connection between our spiritual lives, our souls, and our physical health.
Earlier this year, I travelled to Rochester, New York, for a Be in Health conference.
And now, I’m preparing to travel to Thomaston, Georgia, where I have the incredible privilege of spending six days with the Be in Health team at Hope of the Generations Church.
Even writing that makes me emotional.
Because as I woke up this morning preparing for these next eight days, I realized something.
This isn’t just a trip.
It feels like a marker.
A line between a season of receiving and a season of being sent.
God has walked me through my own journey with health. Through cancer. Through learning to listen to my body. Through years of studying and understanding that we cannot separate what is happening physically from what is happening in our soul and spirit.
And lately, I have felt Him pressing something very clearly on my heart:
Teach My Church to steward the body I gave them.
The Church has done beautiful work caring for the soul and nurturing the spirit.
But I believe there is another conversation God is asking us to have about stewarding our physical bodies too.
Spirit • Soul • Body.
All of it belongs to Him.
And of all mornings, today was the morning I began reaching out to churches.
Then I stopped and realized where I am about to go.
Back to the very place connected to the teachings God unexpectedly placed in front of me almost two years ago.
Maybe this isn’t a prodigal-coming-home story after all.
Maybe this is an Isaiah moment.
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And Isaiah answered:
“Here am I. Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8
That is what these next eight days mean to me.
Not that I have arrived.
Not that I have all the answers.
But that I am willing.
Willing to learn.
Willing to listen.
Willing to be stretched.
Willing to sit at the feet of people who have spent decades doing this work.
And willing to carry whatever God asks me to carry back home.
There is something sacred about realizing that what once appeared randomly on your phone WAS the beginning of an assignment.
So I’m walking into these next eight days with open hands and a grateful heart.
No agenda.
Just one simple prayer:
Lord, here I am.
Teach me.
Prepare me.
And send me.

Understanding WHY is not the same as CHANGING WHAT.
There is value in understanding why you do what you do.
Understanding your childhood.
Recognizing your wounds.
Naming your triggers.
Seeing the patterns you've carried for years.
That awareness can be incredibly useful.
But sometimes, if we're not careful, the explanation becomes the excuse.
“This is my trauma response.”
“This is because of what happened to me.”
“This is just how I learned to survive.”
Those things may be completely true.
But an explanation is not an exemption from accountability.
At some point, healing asks something more of us.
Yes, this happened to me.
Yes, it shaped me.
Yes, it helps explain why I respond this way.
And now, what am I going to do differently?
Because you can understand why you're walking in circles and still keep walking in circles.
Real transformation requires movement.
A different response.
A new boundary.
A changed habit.
A renewed mind.
A regulated nervous system.
A different choice practiced again and again.
This is why I believe we have to look at the whole person:
Spirit • Soul • Body.
Understanding the path behind you matters.
But eventually, friend...
you've got to get walking.
Awareness opens the door.
Accountability gets you walking. ❤️

Something I've been dreaming about is becoming real. 🤍
For years, I have watched people search for answers to their health in pieces.
We address the physical symptoms.
We work on our thoughts and emotions.
We pray about what we're carrying.
We try another diet, another supplement, another strategy.
But what if we were never designed to heal in pieces?
Spirit. Soul. Body.
On Saturday, April 24, 2027, I am bringing together something that has been on my heart for a long time:
HEALED BY GOD'S DESIGN
A One-Day Faith & Whole-Person Health Experience
And the location could not be more beautiful — La Petite Chapelle in Innerkip, Ontario.
This will not be a day of sitting through lecture after lecture.
We're creating a day of teaching, worship, conversation, community, practical tools and honest conversations about whole-person health.
I'll be joined by some incredible special guests, including award-winning authors bringing wisdom around soul care and leaders speaking into faith-based physical healing and whole-person health.
We'll explore what happens when we begin connecting the dots between our relationship with God, our emotional and relational lives, our nervous system, our gut and physical health, and the way we actually live each day.
And my hope is that you don't simply leave inspired.
I want you to leave with greater understanding, practical tools, meaningful connections and clarity about your own next steps.
We're keeping this first gathering intimate — approximately 100–125 people.
More details, speakers and registration information are coming.
For now...
SAVE THE DATE.

Recently, God placed something on my heart that I couldn’t quite explain.
I felt like there was something more in me that needed to come out. Something that needed to be witnessed.
And strangely, I felt this overwhelming need to see pictures of myself as a little girl.
I didn’t grow up with many photographs of my childhood. My mom was incredibly young when she had me, and I want to say this clearly: I love my mom deeply. This isn’t a post about blame.
It’s about witnessing.
Because the truth is, the little girl I was didn’t always feel seen, heard or held.
Not because she wasn’t loved.
Not because she wasn’t worthy of those things.
But because of the environment and circumstances she was born into.
There was instability from the very beginning. There were things I experienced throughout childhood and beyond that I didn’t have the words, understanding or capacity to process at the time.
So when this prompting came, I reached out to my mom and asked if she had pictures.
She spent days going through things recovered from my grandparents’ estate.
And then she found them.
Pictures I had never seen before.
And when I looked into that little girl’s face, something in me broke open.
I cried tears from a well I honestly thought had dried up years ago.
And I realized something.
I have done so much healing. I know who I am today. I know what God has brought me through. I know the victory in my story.
But healing doesn’t mean I will never feel sadness about what happened again.
Maybe healing means I can finally feel it without becoming lost in it.
Maybe God wasn’t asking me to go backward.
Maybe He was asking me to turn around and witness the little girl who had been walking with me all along.
To see her.
To hear her.
To hold space for everything she lived through.
And as I looked at those photographs, I realized something even deeper:
God was there.
He was there in every chapter.
In the things I understood and the things I didn’t.
In the breaking.
In the running.
In the surviving.
In the searching.
In the healing.
And now, in the becoming.
Looking back, I can see His thread woven through all of it.
There were times that little girl may not have felt seen by the people around her, but she was never unseen by God.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalm 139:13
Before I had words for what I felt, God knew me.
Before I understood what was happening around me, God saw me.
Before I could make sense of my story, He was already in it.
And today, I can look back at the breaking and the healing and say without a doubt:
God was in all of it.
Not that He caused every painful thing.
But He never abandoned me in any of it.
And maybe that is one of the greatest revelations of my healing journey.
Healing isn’t a destination.
It’s a journey with God.
And sometimes He leaves us breadcrumbs.
A thought that won’t leave.
A memory.
A photograph.
An emotion that suddenly rises from somewhere we thought had already been healed.
Pay attention to them.
Because maybe God isn’t taking you backward.
Maybe He’s inviting you deeper.
Maybe there’s something He knows you are finally ready to witness.
And maybe there’s a younger version of you who doesn’t need you to fix her anymore.
She simply needs you to see her.
And to remind her of what she couldn't possibly have known then:
God was there all along.

Every home has gates and what we permit through them matters.
Not only who walks through the front door, but what enters through our conversations, routines, screens, attitudes and everyday choices.
The atmosphere of our home affects more than our mood. It can influence our stress levels, sleep, digestion, relationships and overall health.
Constant conflict keeps the nervous system on alert.
Complaining shapes the way we think.
Unresolved tension follows us into our sleep.
The food we bring into the kitchen becomes fuel for our bodies.
What we watch and listen to can either nourish our souls or continually disturb our peace.
And the words spoken around the table can build connection or slowly weaken it.
We cannot control everything that happens around us, nor are we responsible for everyone else’s choices. But we can become more intentional about what we welcome, what we repeat and what we allow to remain.
Scripture tells us:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Proverbs 4:23
Guarding the gates of your home is not about striving for perfection or pretending difficult emotions do not exist. It means creating a place where hard things can be addressed without being permitted to rule the atmosphere.
Sometimes caring for your health looks like nutritious food, movement and rest.
Sometimes it looks like turning off the noise.
Sometimes it looks like apologizing, forgiving, praying together or choosing not to carry the stress of the day into every room.
Health is not only what happens inside your body.
It is also shaped by what repeatedly surrounds your spirit, soul and body.
You have more influence over the health of your home than you may realize.
Guard its peace.
Choose what nourishes.
Address what is harming.
Invite God into every room.
Your home does not need to be perfect to become a place of healing.
It simply needs people willing to be intentional about what is allowed to take root there.

So many want an easy way toward healing.
Not me. I don't think I have ever taken the easy way in anything in life 🤣🤣🤣
The thing is I actually didn't realize how noisy my life was until God gave me peace.
Not noisy around me.
Noisy inside me.
My mind was always somewhere else..
Thinking about what was next. What needed fixing. What hadn't happened yet. What I should be doing. What someone else was doing. What I needed to accomplish.
What I needed to change.
Even when my body was sitting still, my mind rarely was.
And I didn't necessarily recognize it as a lack of peace.
Sometimes I called it ambition.
Sometimes productivity.
Sometimes planning.
Sometimes just being a person who gets things done.
I see it in so many leaders.
But underneath some of it was restlessness.
And somewhere along this journey with God, the noise started getting quieter.
Not because everything around me became easy.
It didn't.
But because I started realizing that not everything requires something from me.
Not everything requires my reaction.
Not everything requires an answer.
Not everything requires my control.
Not every problem is mine to solve.
Not every open door is mine to walk through.
Not every opinion deserves space in my mind.
There is so much freedom in that.
Isaiah 26:3 says:
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
I used to think of peace as something God gave us when life became overwhelming.
Now I'm beginning to see it as a way of living with Him.
A quieter mind.
A slower reaction.
Less striving.
More discernment.
More trust.
More ability to sit in a moment without needing it to become something else.
And maybe one of the greatest signs of healing isn't that everything around us becomes peaceful.
Maybe it's that we become peaceful even when everything around us isn't.
I'm learning that peace isn't passive.
It takes trust to stop controlling.
Wisdom to know what deserves your attention.
Discernment to know when to move and when to be still.
And faith to believe that God is still working when you aren't.
The world around me isn't suddenly quiet.
But something inside me is.
And I am so grateful for that kind of peace. 💜
