If you’re caring for a family member or friend, join us for a welcoming Caregiver Support Group in Sointula. This monthly, drop in group offers space to connect, share experiences, and learn about local resources and supports.
o Last Thursday of every month (starting March 26th, 2026)
o 1:00–3:00 p.m.
o Sointula Health Centre – Community Room
o Free | Drop in | Confidential
What this group offers:
• A safe, respectful space to connect with other caregivers
• Opportunities to share experiences, tips, and what’s helped
• Practical tools and info. about local resources and supports
• Time to focus on your wellbeing as a caregiver
Good to know:
• Free and confidential
• No registration required — drop in when you can
• You don’t have to share if you’re not comfortable
• This is a peer support group, not a medical or therapy session
The group is facilitated by a BCEHS Community Paramedic and is focused on connection, support, and learning together.

With proceeds from donations by our generous community, the Sointula Transfer Station continues to support the operational readiness of our community AED ( Automated External Defibrillator) located at the Sointula Volunteer Fire Hall! If you'd like to learn how to use the AED in an emergency or just need a refresher please drop by the Sointula Health Centre community room on Thursday afternoons where I'll be set up with a training unit and will guide you through the process step by step. No appointment necessary :)
