The Witset Bike Rodeo, hosted by Witset Recreation, was a great success, with more than 30 youth participating in an afternoon of fun, learning, and active recreation.

Through a variety of activities, participants learned important cycling safety skills, including helmet safety, hand signals, road awareness, and the rules of the road. Events like this help build confidence, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and teach skills that can keep our youth safe for years to come.

Following the rodeo, everyone enjoyed a BBQ and refreshments sponsored by Witset Family Services, and participants had the chance to win great prizes donated by McBike, Canadian Tire, and Sport Chek.

A big thank you to David Dennis from Witset Recreation, Cst. Brooke, Cpl. Stryde, and the Smithers RCMP Detachment for helping make this event possible. A special thank you as well to Liam Namox for his assistance throughout the event. His help was greatly appreciated and contributed to the success of the day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success for our community's youth.
