Hey everyone! This Sunday I’m excited to play a solo show at one of my favourite local spots, Bickford Brewing Co. (292A Harbord Street)! I’ll be playing from 5-8pm. It’ll be 3 sets of mostly originals with some covers and silly anecdotes thrown in for good measure! Join me! It’ll be fun! 🧡🤘

I’ve been leaning more into my role as a songwriter lately (but don't worry - I still rock and roll too!), and I’m incredibly excited to be joining Jessica Stuart () for Episode 68 of her Tranzac Club songwriter series on April 18.

This intimate listening room series (5–7pm) invites artists to share their songwriting process and debut brand new material. That means if you’re there, you’ll hear a song I’ve never performed for anyone before!

I’ve been slowly easing into the new year. One of the many things I’m excited about is getting to host an open mic again! On Mondays starting *tonight* I’ll be hosting a cozy unplugged open mic at ! Sign up 6:30pm, open mic 7:00-10pm. C’mon out and have a drink! Share a song or story or poem! I can’t wait to hear it!

Band vs World v0.1 is out in the world for playtesting and *hopefully* enjoyment.

For those of you that don’t know, Band vs World is a table top roleplaying game about the grind that is living the indie musician life. (Think Dungeons & Dragons, but less complicated). The meme dump in this post might give you an idea of the tone. Haha.

This game is narrative/improv heavy, GMless, and play-to-lose - because sometimes that what being an artist is…it’s about the journey, not the destination.

I’ll try to do a trailer/how to play vid in the future, but for now I just wanted to let you know that it’s here and it needs your help to become a better game.

Join Mip for her annual Holiday Hoedown at Bulkley Valley Brewery!

The night will feature two sets of music by Mip & friends, with festive end-of-year energy, familiar faces, and plenty of cozy chaos.

Mip will also be soft launching the ashcan/playtest version of Band vs World - a collaborative, GM-less tabletop RPG zine game. A small batch of photocopied ashcan editions will be available throughout the night and if those run out you’ll be able to purchase it online.

At midnight, it’ll be Mip’s birthday, and this sounds like a mighty fine way to ring that in!

So come for the music, stay for the hang, and check out the first public glimpse of a brand-new game project.
