Amber is a local potter based out of Sandspit on Moresby Island. I had a great time working with her to capture a variety of different cup & bowl styles she'd been working on at the time.

This is another area of photography I have experience with, I've worked with a variety of local businesses on Haida Gwaii and am always amazed by the talent we have on our island.

We change so much in our lives & every moment is sacred. A photograph allows a glimpse in time of the feelings of love we experience. A representation of one small step in our journey. Signifying the continues growth that is yet to come. ❤️

Over 11 years ago I found my passion for photographing the stunning views of Haida Gwaii. The fantastic sunsets captured my eyes constantly & it became something I strived to photograph every chance I could. I started to carry my camera everywhere. Capturing photos of friends, family & the beautiful views of HG.

I began to share my photos on social media and it caught the eyes of locals, this is where my passion to photograph moments started its natural progression of turning into my business "Studio Simone A."

A variety of people started to inquire about my interest in taking portrait & family photos, and my business naturally flourished.

Through this portfolio page I want to highlight my work with clients, but also the natural beauty of Haida Gwaii and the landscape photos that started my career as a professional photographer.

Pre-wedding behind the scenes ✨️
This was the first wedding I ever photographed a couple years back. It was an incredible honor to be chosen to capture the moments from such a special day. One of my favorite parts of wedding photography is the emotions and anticipation you feel from the bridal parties while everyone gets ready. The excitement that fills the room is something that's very special to be a part of.
