Big news for First Nations students interested in mining or mining-related careers.

The First Nations Resource Development Scholarship may help cover the full direct cost of eligible programs, including tuition, fees, textbooks, equipment, safety gear, certifications, and some additional costs like transportation, childcare, or accommodations.

You may be eligible if you:

✅ Attend a publicly assisted college, university, or recognized Indigenous Institute in Ontario
✅ Are enrolled in an approved mining or mining-related program
✅ Are a member of, or connected to, a First Nations community in Ontario

This is important because financial barriers should not stand in the way of education, training, and career pathways connected to resource development. For learners and families exploring future opportunities, this scholarship could make a meaningful difference.

You do not need to apply for full-time or part-time OSAP to be considered. Students should contact their school’s financial aid office to ask about eligible programs, application steps, and deadlines.
