🧡 Connection is Culture. Connection is Power. 🧡
As we continue to honour Indigenous History Month, we’re reminded that technology isn’t just about speed or signal—it’s about preserving language, sharing stories, and strengthening community ties across generations and distances.
At KNET, we’re proud to support digital tools and infrastructure that allow Indigenous communities to reclaim space, celebrate identity, and stay connected to culture and each other—no matter where they are.
Whether it’s through virtual gatherings, language revitalization programs, or video calls to family up north—connection means everything. And we’re honoured to play a part in that.

Today, we celebrate the symphony of humanity's diversity - It's International Mother Tongue Day!
On these beautiful lands, the fluent prose of over 60 unique dialects, belonging to our indigenous communities, echo. But it's not just about the linguistic charm, these first languages and dialects represent. They hold within them thousands of years of cultural heritage, land-based knowledge, processes, sciences and traditions, held safe by our remote communities in the north and beyond.
Yet, they teeter on the edge, at risk of of disappearing. To help revitalize and rejuvenate these stunning first languages, connection is needed. Connection to the land. Connection to each other, to our family, our communities and to our elders. Connection to create learning opportunities, courses, and educational tools. Connection to share information and resources. Connections to grant access to the past through archives and video footage gathered. The connection is vital.
Share your ideas to revitalize and rejuvenate the First languages in the comments below. Let's spark a conversation, let's work towards saving legacies!
