🤠 MEMBER MONDAY SPOTLIGHT: Lion Rob Goold! 🦁
For today’s , we are incredibly proud to feature a Lion who truly embodies the heart, dedication, and family spirit of our club—Lion Rob Goold!
Rob (on the left) joined the Simcoe Lions Club back in 2014, and he shared a wonderful memory of how his journey began:
"When I first started with the Simcoe Lions Club, Lion Jim Adams Sr. said to me, 'If you need help, just ask.' That stuck with me. We are more than just a service group... we are a family." ❤️
Over the last 12 years, Rob has rolled up his sleeves and stepped into countless vital roles to support our community. Just a few of his incredible contributions include:
Serving as a past President (with a memorable "Presley" rock 'n' roll flair! 🕺)
Working hard on the Community Services Trailer Committee
Helping manage our busy Auditorium Committee
Whether he is serving food from the trailer, managing club events, or stepping up to lead, Rob is always there with a helping hand and a true Lion heart.
Thank you, Lion Rob, for everything you do for Simcoe, and for reminding us all that we are stronger together as a family! 🦁✨

🦁 MEMBER MONDAY: Meet Lion Cam! 🦁
For this week’s , we are incredibly proud to spotlight a lifelong resident, a staple of our downtown business community, and a dedicated member of our club: Lion Cam!
Cam’s roots in Simcoe run deep, and his commitment to giving back is a family affair. Get to know a little more about him in his own words:
📍 About Lion Cam
Home Grown: Born and raised right here in Simcoe.
Local Legacy: A 3rd-generation store owner in downtown Simcoe.
Lions Service: A proud Simcoe Lion for over 7 years.
Family: Married to Lady Lion Rose. They have 3 children (Scott, Richard, and Victoria) and are blessed with 4 wonderful grandchildren (Liam, Nora, Ivy, and Keenan).
🍔 Why He Loves Being a Lion
If you’ve ever stopped by our famous Lions food trailer, chances are you’ve seen Cam firing up the grill or serving customers with a massive smile.
"I really enjoy working at the Lions food trailer serving food to all the happy recipients. The smile on their faces—and when they tell us that they want to support the Lions because we do so much for the community—really makes me proud to be a Simcoe Lion."
💡 Words to Live By
Cam perfectly captures the true heart of volunteerism with a philosophy we can all look up to:
"I believe that the service we do is the price we pay for the space we occupy."
Thank you, Lion Cam, for your 7+ years of dedicated service, your deep commitment to downtown Simcoe, and for always serving our community with pride!
Give Cam a shout-out or drop a 🦁 emoji in the comments below to show him some love!

It’s the 80th Anniversary of
Simcoe Little Theatre!
In celebration of its 80th year milestone, Simcoe Little Theatre is staging the original production Where Stars Still Shine. It is a show filled with music, fun, laughter and nostalgia.
The production celebrates the many plays, local celebrities and stories of YOUR community theatre. We have assembled a large cast of past alumni together with more recent additions to the SLT stage. It is a homecoming of sorts for eight decades of Simcoe Little Theatre!
Whether a sponsor, an audience member, a performer or working behind the scenes, we can all be proud of the contribution to the performing arts that has been made by Simcoe Little Theatre.
Where Stars Still Shine, a fundraising show for Simcoe Little Theatre will run for a limited time, shows will take place on Friday and Saturday June 26, 27 at 7:30 pm and Sunday June 28 at 2:00 pm.
We value your support of the performing arts in Simcoe.

🦁 MEMBER MONDAY: Meet Lion Barry! 🦁
"I joined the Simcoe Lions Club back in 1977. Over the last nearly five decades, I’ve been incredibly proud to be a part of so many legacy projects that shape our town—from Lions Park and Talbot Gardens to supporting the Norfolk General Hospital.
But if I had to pick a favourite? It’s the one we are working on right now: the restoration of Wellington Park.
I thoroughly enjoy being a Simcoe Lion because it allows me to give back to the community that gave so much to me. This is the town where I grew up, worked, raised a family, and retired—all alongside my high school sweetheart for close to 50 years. Getting to serve this community alongside lifelong friends and family is truly a privilege.
(P.S. The little guy standing next to me in the photo? That’s actually me at 5 years old, brought to life beside my current self thanks to a little bit of AI magic!)"
Thank you, Lion Barry, for nearly 50 years of dedicated service, leadership, and heart. Simcoe is a better place because of members like you! 💙💛
