Sarcopenia, or the decline of skeletal muscle tissue with age, is one of the most important causes of functional decline and loss of independence in older adults.
How do you combat or prevent Sarcopenia?
Well as the old saying goes, use it or lose it! You need to stimulate the lean muscle mass tissue by overloading it. The simplest and most effective way to do this is with good old free weight resistance training.
