JOA looks to have a lot of firepower on offense to start the season with a new veteran transfer qb.

Maple ridge has been building a very strong program backed by a very experienced coaching staff and the development of this team has us intrigued.

As for Bear Creek we always expect them to be competing at the top of the SCAA division they look very promising to start of the season!

Simcoe County Highschool Football Playoffs

Starting with Nantyr with an upset over Collingwood a huge win for a program that hasn’t competed in senior for a few years. Even though they lost this week to Barrie North it’s a great season to build off of.

Maple Ridge shut out eastview and has been one of the top defences in the SCAA conference. Unfortunately they too lost in the semis to bear creek in a very close matchup. Maple Ridge completely turned around their program from last season.

Barrie North has proven they are the best team in Simcoe County and are our favourites to win the GBSSA finals. They have gone to the finals twice since 2016. Once losing to JOA in 2018 and in 2016 disqualified due to misfiled paperwork of a player.

Bear creek had some sick players and Innisdale almost picked up one of the biggest upsets in recent memory. Bear creek looks to take on Barrie North healthy now seeking a 3rd straight GBSSA finals appearance.

JOA and St joes will face off in the Catholic final under the lights at JC Massie Field this Friday. This will mark a the first Friday night lights in years. The game will be game of the week and will be packed. St joes looking to be first Catholic team ever outside of JOA to play in the GBSSA Final.
