Last week in the House of Commons, I presented petition e-451 calling on the government to reverse the closure of key agriculture research stations across Canada and reinstate the more than 665 researchers and scientists whose positions were cut.
Canadian agriculture depends on world-class research. Farmers, producers, and consumers deserve a government that invests in science, innovation, and the future of our food system.

The Liberal Government has not outlined any strategy for how avalanche control and public safety at Rogers Pass will be maintained once the CAF’s involvement ends. This significant cut puts public safety and a key economic corridor at risk with up to 4,000 vehicles and 40 trains using the route per day.

Happy National Nursing Week to all our nurses. I am proud to have a couple in my family and know first hand the commitment and care provided to our loved ones by nurses.
This week, we celebrate all the nurses who dedicate their lives to supporting their community. Thank you for your compassion and hard work. It’s a testament to your selfless service.
The Canadian defence industry doesn’t need more fancy Liberal defence strategies, they need the government to finally sign some contracts so we can get stuff bought for the armed forces and support industry right here at home.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
This month, I’m thinking of the many Canadians and families whose lives have been touched by melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. It’s a cause that is deeply personal to me, my wife Kelly is a melanoma survivor, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength, resilience and uncertainty that come with a diagnosis.
I was honoured to speak at the Save Your Skin Foundation breakfast and join advocates, survivors, healthcare professionals, and researchers working to improve awareness, prevention, and access to care. Early detection saves lives. Please take the time to protect your skin, know the signs, and encourage your loved ones to get checked.
To everyone currently facing a diagnosis: you are not alone. This month, and every month, we stand with you.

The Carney Liberals just rejected the multi-partisan work at the defence committee.
For three months, the Defence Committee listened to testimony from victims of sexual misconduct in the military and provided ideas on how to fix Bill C-11. We agreed on the amendments and the bill to reform the military justice system was sent to the House.
Now that the Liberals have a majority, they have undone all these changes, proving that when victims said, “We want choice,” the Liberals weren’t listening.
