If your pet ingests large amounts of salt it can lead to vomiting, an increase in body temperature, seizures, and even death. So, keep your pets away from salty foods like chips, fries, and processed meats.

Pet safety tip!

Pet Fire Safety Day is always a helpful reminder to make sure you have an escape plan for your pet in case of a fire or emergency in your home.

Since our pets are experts at hiding pain, you may not know they are actually experiencing it. Instead of the obvious signs of pain, you may notice they become more lethargic or irritable. That’s why it’s important to bring your pet in annually for their dental checkup so we can make sure their mouth and teeth stay healthy!

Grapes can be a popular food at picnics and BBQs this summer, so make sure to keep them away from your dog. If you think your dog has ingested grapes, call your veterinarian or nearest veterinary emergency hospital right away.
