The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts is just around the corner! This is the stack we're taking home to get us prepared for the authors presenting Thursday, August 13th, and Friday, August 14th. It's a diverse lineup, and we couldn’t be more excited! We are currently reading a classic Donna Morrissey book to get us ready for the festival this year. Donna Morrissey will be at the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts, Fri, Aug 14th at 6:30pm to talk about her latest memoir, Tell it to the Water, which releases Aug 11th right before the festival! If you want to be even more Canadian, you can see this author, Charles Demers, at the Sunshine Coast Writters Festival on Sunday, Aug 16th, at 1:30 pm. New releases this week! Matt Haig, author of Humans and Midnight Library, has a new one out! Long awaited new essays from the funny David Sedaris and although this came out last week, we got more restock of Elizabeth Strout! Plenty more new release and restock in the shop this week! Stop in or check out our stories for a sneak peak!

Pamphlets are in for the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts! The festival runs Aug 13-16th with tickets going on sale June 1st. We already have a few of the authors in store. Stop by and pick up your copy and browse our selection.

Theresa Kishkan will be at the Sechelt Library next Friday, May 29th at 1pm. This event is free, but you must RSVP through the Sechelt Library website. We will be there as well selling books! Looking forward to this discussion around reflection, obsession and art from our very own local talent!
