Happening today! This will be a fascinating exploration of herbal medicine and local ecology. If today's walk leaves you feeling inspired, be sure to stop by the library inside the hall (no card required to buy books), where we have a wonderful selection on plants and gardening. Happy exploring!
The DB Market is so very excited to host Sheila Wray tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm!
This Saturday (June 6) join Sheila Wray at 1 pm at the Davis Bay Community Hall.
Ever wonder about the secret world of healing plants living in our community;
all around us in our forests, up the lane and in the meadow. Join us for an
informal, interactive PLANT WALK, at a slow and easy pace, with Sheila Anne
Wray, Folk herbalist and Author.
This walk is a basic introduction to wild herbal medicine, told through
stories and hand on experience. Includes plant identification, and traditional
usage in family medicine. The whole family is invited, children welcome!
There will be time for Q&A with Sheila after the tour.

📚🚗 We’re Bringing the Library to You! 🚗📚
Our little community library may only be open from 1-3 on Saturdays, but we know stories shouldn't have such limited hours.
So we’re launching a NEW pilot program: Library Delivery Boxes!
Volunteers will hand-select a box of books and deliver it to:
• Individuals and families
• Multi-apartment residences
• Seniors
• Hospital patients
• Anyone who can't make it to our regular Saturday hours
Tell us what you like to read (mystery, romance, children’s books, large print, non-fiction, etc.), and our volunteers will curate a selection just for you.
This is a trial program, so we're starting small, but if there's interest, we'd love to expand.
📩 Interested? Send us a Facebook message or comment below, and we'll follow up with details.
