One of the biggest lessons I took from this conversation with Mr. Jim Ruta was this:
Success in business doesn’t start with knowing everything.
It starts with people.
He shared that if he had to start all over again, his priority in the first 90 days would simply be:
meeting people,
talking to people,
and staying connected with people.
No complicated strategy.
No pretending to be an expert in everything.
Just genuine connection.
And honestly, that reminded me that sometimes we overcomplicate growth.
We think we need to master everything before we start, when in reality, growth happens through conversations, relationships, and consistency.
“Be a boutique, not Costco.”
Specialize.
Serve well.
Build trust.
That’s where real impact happens.

NO doesn’t mean stop.
It means:
Next Opportunity.
New Options.
In business, in life, in finances,
you will hear “no.”
No from prospects.
No from clients.
No from opportunities you thought were “perfect.”
But here’s what most people don’t realize:
Every “no” is filtering you closer to the right yes.
The right client.
The right partnership.
The right path.
Because success isn’t built on avoiding rejection, it’s built on continuing despite it.
We’ve had conversations that went nowhere. Plans that didn’t push through.
Opportunities that didn’t convert.
But every single one made us better. Sharper. Clearer.
And closer.
So don’t take “no” personally.
Take it as direction.

We Don’t Just Talk About Finances
