Staple Productions
Staple Productions is a new theatre company that strives to bring well-known modern musicals to the city of Saskatoon.
When I returned to Saskatoon after getting my diploma in Theatre Arts from Grant MacEwan University, I noticed that musicals are not often done here. Furthermore, I noticed that really popular musicals that have been done in every other major centre have never come to Saskatoon at all, not even on a national tour. So I decided to change that, and bring popular, modern musicals to my city. Staple P

Yesterday we quietly published episode 3 of the Breakup Cabaret.
An important component of this project is it’s rawness- the subject matter is outlined in advance, but much of the storytelling is unscripted. This time, as the camera rolled, we captured Lauren having a flashback.
It doesn’t look like much other than stillness. But for Lauren it was halting. We decided to publish some of what was captured in the spirit of rawness, of honesty, and of de-stigmatizing mental illnesses such as Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
We want everyone to rest assured that this is a normal part of the condition and Lauren is fine.
You can skip to just the song if you like, but it would mean a lot if you would watch the whole video. It isn’t scary to witness- again, it just looks like stillness.
Storytelling is powerful. Thanks for listening.

We've reached some new milestones this week. Our YouTube videos now have over 1,000 views! And we received our first "dislike" on a video. The balance of creating art!
We also cannot figure out why the video thumbnail won't load when we share the link, so please help boost this video as this seemingly small glitch really affects viewership numbers!

Today is the day!
We’re back with a new show- a slow roll out, but episode by episode you will get to experience The Breakup Cabaret.
This show will explore breakups, romance, mental illness, and abuse. It’s a mix of light and dark through all the greatest musical theatre breakup songs.
There is no fixed schedule. The episodes will be created as their own unique pieces while keeping the overarching narrative in mind. There is also no end date- as long as I am able, I will make more episodes! I have a lot to talk about.
If you want to support this endeavour, here are the three most helpful things you can do:
1. watch the video! https://youtu.be/rdrcmhrseK8
2. Subscribe the the Staple Productions YouTube channel
