Today, we pause to honour the brave men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces — past and present — who have served our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.
We remember those who gave their lives in the pursuit of peace and freedom, and we stand with all who continue to serve with strength and integrity around the world.
At 11:00 a.m., we stop to reflect, to be thankful, and to remember:
“Lest we forget.” 🌺

Supporting Women Veterans
Your Voice Matters!
The Minister of Veterans Affairs’ Women Veterans Council was officially announced on December 2, 2024 and held its first meeting on January 29, 2025. The focus is to ensure the voices of women veterans are heard and reflected in policy changes at Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
They are committed to:
-Reviewing recommendations from the ACVA report “Invisible No More” and the Bastarache report “Broken Dreams, Broken Lives.”
-Collecting ongoing feedback from the community to guide our priorities.
-Providing insight to the Minister and VAC on issues that impact women veterans.
Recently, they:
-Met with the CEO of The Pepper Pod, a retreat centre supporting over 400 women veterans.
-Attended the VAC Women’s Forum on March 6-7 to hear directly from the community.
We’re already seeing positive changes at VAC, and we want your input to keep the momentum going! If you are a woman veteran, CAF, or RCMP member, please consider joining the VAC email list to stay connected.
To join the list or provide feedback: Email us at [email protected]
Stay updated: Visit the VAC website to view our meeting Records of Discussions.
Together, we are working towards meaningful change. Your voice is essential!
