New Release: Kendal Netmaker Becomes the 1st First Nations CSP®

Kendal Netmaker—award-winning entrepreneur, bestselling author, and inspiring keynote speaker—has made history by becoming the first Indigenous person in the world to earn the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP®) designation from the National Speakers Association (NSA), the premier global organization for professional speakers.

The CSP® designation is internationally recognized as the highest standard of excellence in professional speaking. It is awarded to speakers who demonstrate outstanding stage performance, ethical business practices, and measurable impact with audiences and clients. Achieving this credential requires a rigorous evaluation of experience, business acumen, client feedback, and speaking mastery—placing Kendal among an elite group of speakers worldwide.

This milestone is more than a personal achievement—it represents a significant step forward for Indigenous representation in the global speaking profession. From growing up on Sweetgrass First Nation to becoming an internationally sought-after speaker, Kendal’s journey reflects both his excellence as a communicator and his role as a trailblazer expanding what’s possible for Indigenous voices on global stages.

Known for his powerful storytelling and messages of resilience, leadership, inclusion, and human potential, Kendal continues to inspire audiences across industries and cultures. By earning the CSP® designation, he not only sets a new standard in professional speaking—he opens doors for the next generation of Indigenous leaders to be heard.

Grateful for the journey—and excited for what’s ahead.

Every stage I step onto, every room I enter, I’m reminded that leadership isn’t about titles or perfection. It’s about movement. It’s about action. It’s about people.

This work is rooted in lived experience—turning adversity into action and using leadership as a force that truly moves people forward. Whether I’m speaking with executive teams, organizations, or communities, the message remains the same: progress begins the moment we choose to keep moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who continues to invite me into your spaces, trust me with your people, and walk this path together.

Let’s keep moving forward—together.
