Keep supporting independent music. Keep supporting local artists.
This album is very well done and we are so proud of the both of you.
“We wanted to make an album that We could listen to again and again across time. With a little help from some very talented friends, I think we nailed it.”
Joule & Riley (Tim Hus, Allen Christie, Amber Williams, Canadian Whitewater) met back in 2011 when she opened a series of shows for Tim Hus. Fate would bring them back together over a decade later to form Tubbman Junction, where her lyrical strength meets his innate understanding of all things with strings, and their heart connection draws audiences into their loving fold.
Joule writes with humour and depth, and has been compared with folk heroes like Guy Clark & John Prine. She delivers her stories with a strength and clarity reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt and Sarah McLachlan.
Among the best upright bass players in western Canada, Riley played as a side man for over 20 years, touring Canada and the Americas with a style influenced by Spider Bishop & Roy
Husky Junior. Riley’s closet skills on mandolin & guitar have a chance to shine and bring a bluegrass flavour to this folk duo, and his own compositions come alive betwixt her stories of love, loss, and country life on their debut album, Tales From the Trunk - featuring guest performances from Eliza Doyle (banjo), Mitch Dureault (fiddle: Sharptail), Quinn Legare (banjo: Hotdog! Bluegrass, Soil & Grass), and James Anderson (harmonica) - as they clean out the closet to make space for new collaborative creations to come.
Last Friday had a small crowd, but the musicians brought on quite the show!! An incredible arsenal of performers who honestly blew it out of the water.
Nights like these really shine with passion, and you can really feel it when you’re in the room.
Thanks to everyone who came out, performed, and continues to support the local artists.
Keep Bloomin’

Bloom Presents: Unplugged Open Mic - Fridays at Finn’s
Lovely lineup with many familiar faces up tonight, and they never disappoint.
Another big shoutout to Lexa, who’s back hosting once again. Three times in the last month and somehow she keeps getting better at it. She brings great energy, keeps the night flowing, and always makes artists feel welcome on stage.
Come support local artists and be a part of the Bloom fam.
Music starts at 7:30 PM.
Keep Blooming.
The Great Sticker Debacle -
Saul ordered Bloom stickers.
Cory did not double check his dimensions.
Now there are hundreds of tiny Bloom stickers and only one reasonable solution: hide them everywhere.
Consider this the unofficial launch of the Bloom Sticker Treasure Hunt. If you find one, take a photo, post it, tag us.
Hint: We have even started to put them in random locations at the venues we host shows. lol
Not exactly what was planned, but here we are. If this somehow catches any steam, we’ll talk prizes.
Don’t forget to double check your measurements.
Keep Blooming
What a night at Finn’s on Friday.
Live drums, back-to-back collaborations, and a lineup that did not disappoint. From start to finish, the room was full of great performances.
Thanks to everyone who came out, performed, and continue to support our local music scene.
Keep Blooming.

Bloom Presents: Unplugged Open Mic - Friday’s at Finn’s
The lineup is stacked and loaded once again with an incredible mix of local artists hopping on the Bloom stage.
We also have Lexa guest hosting once again. She did such a wonderful job last time hosting that she may have stolen Uncle Coco’s gig. 😮
7 PM at Finns.
Come support local talent and be part of the community.

So many great moments from last Friday’s open mic.
One of the best parts of open mic is that every week brings something new. New performers, new songs, new stories, and a completely different energy in the room.
Thanks to everyone who continues to make these nights what they are. We’ll see you again this Friday at Finns.
Keep Blooming.

All we can say is thank you so much to this community. I think we all dream of having rich connections, shared creativity, big smiles and genuine laughs. That’s what this community gives to everyone involved.
Last night was such a beautiful example of this. And it was truly a beautiful way to honor our late, great friend, Justin Juice Lee. We know he’s smiling down on us as we keep the jam flowing.
To us, nights like this are what life is about. So thank you to everybody who came out. Thank you to everybody who participated. We are dreamers and we will keep dreaming. We wanna build cool events and bring amazing people together.
Special shout out to our awesome judges, Ugly Kid Joel, Nikki from Darl, and J Melodie. Big shoutout to Earl Pereira of The Steadies. Earl was Juice’s bandmate, touring partner, and one of his closest musical brothers. Together they toured the world, shared stages, and created countless memories through music. Shout out to Art Bar for having us. Shout out to Corby and Dima, a.k.a. the Bloom team, who share the blood, sweat, and tears with us to make these events happen. And so much love to all the musicians who decided to come out and jam. Please keep coming. You make us want to keep doing these events.
With so much love, Bloom fam.
