The sunk cost fallacy shows up in more places than we realize.
Sometimes we stay because we've already invested years, energy, money, effort, or hope into something.
A relationship.
A career.
A business.
A goal.
The challenge is that past investment doesn't always mean future return.
Sometimes growth isn't pushing harder.
Sometimes it's having the courage to ask whether your resources might flourish somewhere else.
Have you ever noticed this pattern showing up in your own life?

Most people think insomnia is a sleep problem.
Often, it's a stress and anxiety problem that shows up at bedtime.
The harder we try to force sleep, the more pressure we create—and pressure is rarely what a nervous system needs.
Sometimes the path to better sleep starts with understanding what keeps the cycle going.

If this hits close to home, therapy is a place where help is offered (without pressure, guilt, or the need to reciprocate).
Support doesn’t mean failure.
It means you don’t have to carry everything alone.

Grace matters.
We all make mistakes. We all have moments we're not proud of. We all deserve compassion when we fall short.
But compassion isn't the same thing as permission.
Growth often begins when we can hold two truths at once: understanding why a pattern exists and taking responsibility for changing it.

Most sleep advice focuses on helping you fall asleep.
But what if the real question isn't:
"How do I sleep?"
What if the question is:
"What is my body trying to tell me?"
For many people, chronic insomnia isn't simply a sleep problem. It can be a nervous system problem, a stress problem, an anxiety problem, a grief problem, or a trauma response showing up at bedtime.
Sometimes the sleeplessness isn't the issue.
It's the symptom.
If this resonates, our latest blog explores what's really keeping people awake—and what can actually help.

People pleasers have an impressive resume:
• expert tension detector
• professional conflict diffuser
• highly skilled emotional translator
They’re often incredibly empathetic and thoughtful people.
The downside?
It can start to feel like you’re responsible for everyone else’s mood in the room. And that’s an exhausting job description.
Caring about people is wonderful.
Managing everyone’s emotions isn’t your responsibility.

The way you respond after you hurt someone…
that’s what builds (or breaks) trust.
It’s weird being the one in the family who decides to actually deal with things
…but also… kind of powerful
If this is something you’re navigating, you don’t have to untangle it alone.
