Saskatoon Pride
Recognizing, valuing, celebrating and supporting Two Spirit, q***r, le***an, gay, trans, bi, and other gender and sexually-diverse people and their families.
Saskatoon Pride and the Saskatoon Pride Festival operate on Treaty 6 Territory and homeland of the Métis. We acknowledge and recognize that our festival operates on the traditional homelands of the Cree, Lakota, Dakota, Nakota, Dene, and Saulteaux people. We reaffirm our relationship and responsibilities to the land that many of us are guests on, and to upholding and learning from our Indigenous and Two Spirit communities.

2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade Grand Marshall
Saskatoon Pride is so excited to announce our sixth Grand Marshall for the 2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade; Eli Hartman (Q***r'd Al)
"Q***r'd Al is a Drag King, Producer, Multi-disciplinary artist and community organizer. He has been creating in Saskatoon since 2013.
Most of his time is spent organizing his monthly Green Beans Open Stage Drag Show. Having debuted his drag on an open stage, he knows how important it is to have free, accessible spaces to gather and create art. Since it's creation in 2024, Green Beans has helped more than 35 new performers take the stage and add even more diversity and versatility to the drag scene. He produces his shows under an ethical, equitable model to signal the change he wants to see in the world.
He also has been able to practice his ethos of "chaos, community, and collective activism" through work with Chaos Encouraged Productions, and Q***r Compass YXE. Both groups allow him to continue creating places for people to connect, find joy, and learn from each other separate from institutions that gatekeep that learning and create more barriers.
He has produced countless shows, most notably "Micro Drag: the Smallest Stage for the Biggest Personalities" at Nuit Blanche in 2024, reaching an audience of over 5000 people with an all trans cast.
Through his organizing, he is able to create spaces for the people who need it, so they can find themselves and each other in their fullest, most honest form. He also believes in using his power to support our most vulnerable, and is donating any and all payments for performances during pride month to and ***rcompassyxe. In the wise words of a close friend, we take care of us.

2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade Grand Marshall
Saskatoon Pride is so excited to announce our fifth Grand Marshall for the 2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade; Patti Rowley
"Patti Rowley is a longtime educator, advocate, and community leader whose work has helped advance inclusion and equity for 2SLGBTQIA+ students and communities across Saskatchewan. During her 33-year teaching career, Patti became a trailblazer in creating safer and more welcoming school environments. In 2001, she founded Saskatchewan’s first Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) at Mount Royal Collegiate in Saskatoon, helping to pave the way for student-led inclusion initiatives across the province. Later, while teaching at Walter Murray Collegiate, she championed the creation of the school’s first gender-neutral washrooms.
Patti’s contributions have been widely recognized. She received the Peter Corren Award at the University of Saskatchewan’s Breaking the Silence Conference in 2013 and was honoured with the OUTSaskatoon KnockOUT Award in 2017. That same year, she was nominated for the YWCA Women of Distinction Award in Education. Following her retirement in 2018, Patti continued her advocacy and community involvement, earning recognition from Sherri Benson in 2019 for her service to the community. She also served as the keynote speaker at the 2019 Prairie Pride Conference, inspiring the next generation of student leaders and advocates."

2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade Grand Marshall
Saskatoon Pride is so excited to announce our fourth Grand Marshall for the 2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade; Michael Leier
Living in Saskatoon with his partner, Michael feels deeply connected to the community he calls home. Alongside his professional work, he has dedicated time to volunteering with a wide range of community, nonprofit, and charitable organizations in the city and across Saskatchewan. That commitment to community inspired him and several friends to found the Prairie Lily Curling League (PLCL) in 2014. Today, the PLCL is Saskatchewan’s largest 2SLGBTQIA+ nonprofit sporting organization, creating opportunities for connection and belonging by reducing barriers to sport and fostering a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for all. Michael remains actively involved with the PLCL as the organization continues to grow and expand, offering new opportunities such as lawn bowling and volleyball for q***r people in Saskatoon.

2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade Grand Marshall
Saskatoon Pride is so excited to announce our third Grand Marshall for the 2026 Saskatoon Pride Parade; Connor Rodriguez
Connor Rodriguez (he/they) is a pansexual, transgender, latinx, Taino descendant Buriqua, living on Treaty 6 territory. With much pride, Connor has found family and home on Treaty 6. With over a decade of boots on the ground activism, Connor is TIRED. Still you can find him fiercely advocating for a kinder world. Whether they’re picking up a new hobby or searching for safer drug use supplies, you can bet he’s living his best life while telling a dad joke. In their free time they can be found having casual conversations about decolonizing and dismantling the cis-hetpatriarchy, walking into a room and immediately forgetting why, or hanging out at home with his little family of menaces (his babies: 3 dogs and 2 cats, and an amazing partner).

Ten years ago, Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation made history with the first Pride parade on a reserve in Canada. Yesterday we marched alongside them to celebrate a decade of 2-Spirit pride, joy, and resilience. It was an honour to walk beside them. 🏳️🌈🪶
