In 2025, SFD’s dispatch team processed 28,717 emergent and non-emergent calls, serving as the public’s first point of contact in moments that matter most.

During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 12 to 18, we proudly recognize and honour SFD’s exceptional Emergency Communications team. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, these dedicated professionals manage both 911 and non-emergent calls while providing calm, skilled support to our community and our residents.
