SWITCH summer continues, with a special thanks to Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan for facilitating so many of their wonderful educational programming sessions over the past few weeks!📒

REMINDER: No SWITCH services are being offered on Wednesday, July 29, as staff will be spending the day doing some cleaning! Services return on Wednesday, August 5.

Big thanks to Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan for swinging by and leading this week's programming session! And a big thank you to our amazing student volunteers for their continued service over the summer months!😍

Reminder that SWITCH services run on Wednesday evenings from May to August. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday SWITCH services return in September.

Last week, SWITCH participated at a health fair at King George School, hosted by SCBScN student nurses!🩹

The topic of our booth was "Beating the Heat", featuring advice and tips on staying healthy and safe during the hot summer months! We had many visitors from students and staff from the school, as well as other members of the community!☀

Huge thank you to student nurse Taylor for inviting us to the event, student volunteer and Board director Prabhpreet for running the booth, and other student volunteers on making our poster board!😁

Thank you to the Saskatchewan Blue Cross for selecting SWITCH as one of their grant recipients for their "80 Years, 80 Grants" initiative!

SWITCH Programming Coordinator Mikka and Board Chair Patrick attended the Saskatchewan Blue Cross 80th Anniversary Celebration on May 27th in Saskatoon. 80 years is a tremendous achievement, and we thank the Saskatchewan Blue Cross for awarding SWITCH a grant and for their contributions to health services and access in our province.

We will run a booth predominantly catered towards children in Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Attention all SWITCH volunteers‼️

All volunteer shifts have been posted for the month of June. This includes all clinical, outreach, and Team Leader roles.🌼

As well, outreach volunteer positions have been increased from 14 spots to 20 spots per shift! Sign-up now using VolunteerLocal.🤩

Overdose response and naloxone administration training sessions continue every week on Wednesdays at 4pm. If you are a volunteer and haven’t yet received training, sign-up now!💉

Lastly, SWITCH will be looking for volunteers to participate in extra community events this summer! Look out for any announcements from us…👀
