Landlines are always best, for so many reasons! Except people don't usually have them any more. We rely so heavily on technology and it's naive to assume it won't ever fail.

Check out what Back40 Wilderness First Aid Training has going on. You might live in the city - but EMS can't always easily get to you so the first aid you do matters until they get there. OR you might be able to walk out on your own but leaving your bike behind might not be an option!

Busy Training weekend - March 25-26, 2017 03/27/2017

Super great day I had training some volunteers with Saskatoon Search and Rescue! I'm so impressed with this teams willingness to put in long days and put their first aid skills to test. As a progressive plan we will now build on these basic skills and work towards Advanced First Aid!

While one of our members spent the weekend in Toronto with AdventureSmart coordinators from across Canada, many other SSAR members (Basic Searchers and experienced members alike) were certifying or re-certifying their First Aid skills with Everyday First Aid Training. They dealt with some serious "injuries"!

In addition to all that, three members spent a couple hours doing a short search scenario with the Saskatoon Police Service SAR team.

A great weekend and lots of learning!!
