Want a relaxed place to dance, practise what you’re learning, and spend some time with the Kizomba community?

𝗞𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮 & 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 is our new twice-monthly, beginner-friendly social — and our very first one is this Friday!
We’ll start the evening with a short beginner Kizomba lesson, then turn up the music and spend the rest of the evening dancing, practising and mingling.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮? You’re absolutely welcome. The beginner lesson is designed so you can join us even if you’ve never danced Kizomba before. No partner needed.

𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴? Come practise, dance with different people, meet our newer dancers, or just enjoy a relaxed Friday evening with the community.

Want more time to practise Kizomba, work through something you’ve been learning, or simply explore your dancing without the structure of a class?

𝗞𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗯 is our new monthly open practice. There’s no lesson and no set agenda — come dance, practise with others, experiment, ask questions, and work on whatever interests you.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀? Wear a wristband (provided) to let us know you’re open to feedback, or simply ask when you have a question.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲? That’s great too. Lab is a space to practise in the way that works for you.

All levels of Kizomba dancers are welcome. Since there’s no introductory lesson, you should have at least a little Kizomba experience before attending.

You don’t need a partner. You don’t need dance experience. And you definitely don’t need to already know what you’re doing.

Kizomba Foundations is designed for complete beginners. We’ll start from the ground up — learning how to move comfortably to the music, connect and communicate with a partner, and build the basic movements you need to start dancing Kizomba.

Classes are relaxed and social. We rotate partners throughout the class, so you can come on your own, and there’s lots of time to practice, ask questions, make mistakes and try again. 😊

And learning doesn’t stop when class ends. Foundations students can join our twice-monthly “Kizomba & Mingle” events for free — a chance to practice what you’re learning, meet more of the community, and get comfortable dancing outside of class.

This fall, we’re going back to the foundations.

Kizomba Foundations: Connection is our 6-week course for people who are new to Kizomba — or who want to build stronger foundations.

We’ll explore the essentials of Kizomba through movement, music and connection, with lots of opportunities to dance with different people in a welcoming, social environment.

✨ Absolute beginners welcome

Mondays, Sept 21–Nov 2 (no class Oct 12)

And this fall, current SasKiz students get complimentary admission to Kizomba & Mingle, our casual twice-monthly Friday social with a beginner lesson, dancing and time to mingle.

Connection is one of our two Kizomba Foundations courses. You can take Connection and Play in either order as you build toward Intermediate Kizomba.
