šŸ„ HOW MUCH MILK does a dairy cow produce in a day?

On many Canadian dairy farms, a Holstein cow in her peak milking period can produce roughly 20–40 litres of milk per day, depending on her diet, genetics, and stage of lactation. Farmers track milk yields closely to monitor herd health and make sure each animal is getting the feed and care it needs.

ā€œNaturalā€ doesn’t automatically mean safer, healthier, or better. And ā€œsyntheticā€ doesn’t automatically mean harmful.

The idea that nature is always superior is a logical gap called the appeal to nature fallacy, and it is a common misinformation tactic.

Poison ivy is natural.
So is arsenic.
Meanwhile, synthetic folic acid helps prevent serious birth defects, and synthetic insulin saves millions of lives every year.

Research shows many consumers are willing to pay more for products labeled ā€œnatural.ā€

So next time you see ā€œclean,ā€ ā€œnatural,ā€ or used as the main selling point, pause before you share (or buy).
Because ā€œnaturalā€ isn’t proof, it’s persuasion.

šŸ“ DO Broiler Chickens Live In Cages?

In Canada, broiler chickens are not raised in cages. They live free‑run in large, climate‑controlled barns, meaning they can move freely around the barn floor, with access to feed and water lines. The barns are designed to protect chickens from predators, weather extremes, and some disease risks, and they include ventilation systems and controlled lighting.

Update on spring seeding from Clinton Monchuk, a grain farmer in Saskatchewan!
Parts of Saskatchewan are VERY wet, which has created some challenges for farmers out in their fields this spring. Wet conditions can delay seeding, plug equipment, create an obstacle course of standing water in fields and can lead to equipment getting stuck....🤫 which may or may not have happened on the Monchuk Family Farm!! 🤫

Chicken is on the menu in many Canadian homes, and it does not have to come with a side of worry.

Here are THREE SIMPLE RULES to keep chicken night stress-free:

Keep raw chicken and its juices away from other foods and use separate cutting boards.

Cook pieces to a safe internal temperature of 74 °C (165 °F) and whole birds a bit higher.

Refrigerate leftovers within two hours so you can enjoy them safely later.
