National Indigenous History Month is an opportunity to learn from and celebrate the histories, cultures, contributions, and perspectives of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.
Good intentions are a starting point. Understanding grows through curiosity, connection, and experience.
National Indigenous History Month provides opportunities to learn from and celebrate the histories, cultures, contributions, and perspectives of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.
There is no single way to participate. For some, it may be a book. For others, a conversation, community event, supporting a local Indigenous-owned business, or a perspective that challenges them to think differently.
We'd love to hear what you're exploring this month.

What does reconciliation look like in the workplace?
It's one of the most common questions we hear from organizations.
The answer looks different for every workplace, but training is often where the conversation begins.
For some organizations, that means building awareness of Indigenous histories and experiences.
For others, it means supporting leaders and managers, strengthening Indigenous recruitment efforts, or creating a shared foundation of understanding across teams.
Training can help create the confidence and knowledge needed to move from intention to action.
If your organization is exploring practical ways to support reconciliation in the workplace, let's connect.

When many people think about National Indigenous History Month, they think about learning about the past.
That's certainly part of the conversation.
But it's also an opportunity to recognize the contributions Indigenous Peoples continue to make today.
Across Canada, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples are leading organizations, building businesses, strengthening communities, creating art, advancing research, and shaping the future.

What does meaningful learning look like during National Indigenous History Month?
For some, it may be attending a community event. For others, it may be reading a book by an Indigenous author, exploring Indigenous histories, or reflecting on how reconciliation can be supported in everyday actions and workplace practices.
Throughout June, Indigenous Works will be sharing learning opportunities, resources, reflections, and practical ideas to support ongoing learning in workplaces and communities.
Whether you are just beginning your learning journey or continuing to build your understanding, we invite you to explore with us throughout the month.
Together, we'll be exploring topics such as:
● Workplace inclusion and reconciliation
● Learning resources and opportunities for further exploration
● Reflection and shared responsibility
Learning is not limited to one month of the year, but National Indigenous History Month offers an opportunity to pause, listen, and engage with new perspectives.
We invite you to join us throughout June.

Pride Month provides an opportunity to learn about and honour Two-Spirit voices, histories, and perspectives.
While experiences differ across Nations, many Indigenous communities have long recognized diverse gender identities, roles, and responsibilities.
Yet many people are still learning about the meaning and cultural significance of Two-Spirit identities.
Join us on June 25 for 2S Inclusion: Honouring Two-Spirit People in the Workplace and Beyond.
Together, we'll explore the meaning and cultural roots of Two-Spirit identity, its significance across Indigenous Nations, and why these perspectives matter today.

Your organization may have invested in Indigenous foundational learning, started exploring Indigenous inclusion priorities, or identified reconciliation commitments. Now you are asking a different question: What comes next?
Determining where to focus efforts can be challenging when there are multiple opportunities for growth.
Should priorities focus on leadership development, workplace culture, recruitment and retention, policies and practices, employee engagement, community relationships, or something else entirely?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer.
Meaningful progress often begins with understanding where your organization is today, identifying priorities, and taking practical next steps that align with your goals.
If your organization is exploring what comes next, we would be happy to connect.
